Estimated love

"I thought I told you a million times that you're the only one for me, you're the only one I love and will always be there for, Alena you know that, why can't you just accept it?" A blank look on his face, Adrian begged Alena to accept his love.1

"I know you love me, but...every body's mind changes, things change, Adrian you can't promise your love to me at such a young age, we're only 16 and even though it's possible that you will always love me, I've been hurt so much that my heart can't take it anymore, its already wilted like a rose and bleeding out its pain." Alena looked and him and pitied him, she new she loved him but it was just the fact that she was sick of boys, sick of school, and sick of having to put up with getting hurt. 2

Alena walked off leaving Adrian to think, he thought about their love, and how he was so sure of everything he said and that it wasn't a lie, she was the only girl he actually cared about and he wasn't going to loose her because every other male out there doesn't respect a women. Walking off to class, and sitting down in his chair, he gazed off into space not even paying attention to his english teacher, he was too bored of listening to poetry and having to write it, Alena was the poet not him, all he was, was a kid with no priorities in life and unsure of everything he wants except to be in a band. All he wanted was a girl just like him who he could love and his band to become famous without being overplayed and still making it big. 3

"Psst...Adrian..hello, are you alive, is there anybody home because I see the light on just nothing else." Billy, Adrains best friend, starts waving his hand in Adrians face. 4

"Gees, okay you can stop that like right now, ready, one, two, three, STOP!" Adrian looks at Billy like he's a maniac and with a questioned look on his face.5

"Are you still with Alena? I'm just wondering because um... I didn't see you guys together this morning."6

"Yes, we're still together, were just sorta in a fight, its hard to explain, I've never cared about anybody so much in my life and it's eating at me that she doesn't respond in the same way because she's, quote on quote "been hurt far to many times". I know I'm not the type of kid to care about so much in life, I'm a band kid, in it for the music and that's it, but I love her so much and it's really hard knowing she wont respond to me." A painstaking look on his face as if he just wet the carpet like a dog and knew he was in trouble, he looked at Billy waiting for him to answer back.7

"Hmm...maybe you should give things a break or something you know? Girls are so complicated who understand what they want, they either want commitment or they're looking for a quickie and we never know which one it is."8

"BOYS! Pay attention, my class is for here to learn it's not social hour, we're not talking about Adrains love life, you need to pay attention because I believe both of you aren't doing so well in this class anyways," Mrs. Petersburg yelled in front of the whole class. Returning to her "poetry lecture", Adrian and Billy stopped talking and started paying attention. 9

After class Adrian walks to his locker and Billy walks off on his own, Adrian picks up what he needs and walks off to his next class. Right before he steps foot into the secluded presence of the classroom he spots Alena and Billy talking to each other, he at first didn't think of anything but then he sees Alena hug Billy and Billy give Alena a piece of paper. He thought it a bit awkward of his friend hugging HIS girlfriend and figured he'd ask Alena about it after class. 10

Struggling in class to pay attention, he was thinking about everything he told Billy about and thought it was a bit weird for him to say to break up with her or give it a break, Billy knew how much he loved Alena, why would he want him to break up with her?  The busyness of the school was irritating him and he couldn't think, he was tired of having to walk through the halls and be cramped, or suck up to the wall to pass a group of kids because they were too lazy to move, all he wanted was things to be right and everything was wrong. Adrian was always somebody to think everything was out to get him, he was probably the most doubtful kid in the school because he always thought that something was going to go wrong. 11

As soon as the bell rang he got up and left, wandering through the hall like he was stupid he finally spotted Alena and walked up to her, pulling her away from her friends he looks into her eyes and kisses her lightly, just in case something was really wrong he wanted to have one last kiss. 12

"Why did Billy hug you?" 13

"What? Damn Adrian, are you spying on me now? Do you not trust me, why do you always think everything's going to go wrong, you always do this kind of stuff!" She looked at Him with a hard expression on her face indicating that she was mad. 14

Adrian looked around, seeing that everybody in the hall stopped what they were doing and was starring at them, he turned red with embarrassment, not only was his girlfriend yelling at him, she was doing it in front of the school. "I was just wondering, he never talks to you when I'm around and I find it a bit strange that he gave you a piece on paper and hugged you." Adrian said through closed teeth trying to play it Cool. 15

"He gave me his number and wanted to know if he could hang out with me this weekend..."Alena looked at him guiltily, she knew it was wrong of Billy to do that and she knew that she wasn't going to hang out with him it, was just part of the plan to see if Adrian was dead serious about loving her, surly he would get mad at his best friend for making a move on his girlfriend and it would prove to her that she wasn't just another girl on the sideline waiting to get picked up. 16

"HE WHAT!?!" Alena are you kidding me? What the heck, I can't believe him are you going to because that would, I would, I need to leave..."  Stuttering, Adrian briskly walked down the hall into the boys bathroom, deciding what to do and trying to get his head strait. 17

"Great" he though, not only do I find the girl of my dreams who doesn't believe in our love, my BEST FRIEND in the whole world, who's in my own band is going to steal my girlfriend from me. What's wrong with the world, can it ever give me a break or am I always going to be in this mind-set of everything trying to hurt me? Leaning against the bathroom stall he pushes off and walks to the sink, every where there's graffiti and guys talking  about who's hot, or pretty, or who they would date, it was the typical stuff everyday. Turning the facet on he rinses his face to cool down and walks back into the hallway with everybody back to doing what they were doing before all the commotion. 18

Searching for somebody to talk to, Adrian spots Billy in the corner talking to Alena and flirting with her while touching her arm in a "far to sensitive format". Getting angry instantly he strides up to Billy and punches the locker by his head. "What do you think your doing!?! I can't believe you Billy you're my best friend, you're supposed to be there for me when nobody else is because that's what friends do! All you're doing is grabbing up on my girlfriend and trying to take the best thing that has ever happened to me out of my life! This is just like everything else in the world that keeps messing up, you just don't understand that I love her and that she's the only thing I care about, she has made me so happy and everything that I am right now. I'm not the conceited little kid I used to be before her, I'm growing up and I know that love can't be estimated on how long you'll be together, I know that you have to take everything one step at a time and I'm trying so hard to accomplish this." 19

Billy, smiles gently and looks at Alena, " Is this what you wanted, is this what you needed to hear, because it's killing me doing this to him..." 20

Alena looks at Billy and nods lightly to him, she hugs Adrian and passionately kisses him, because now she knows that he loves her and that it can't be looked at as something that will always be there because it might not be. As she backs away she looks at Adrian with tears in her eyes, "Adrian none of this was real, I wanted Billy to pretend he was going to get with me because I knew if you really cared about me you wouldn't let me go, you would be there to fight for me and sometimes guys wont, they'll just give up. I wanted to make sure that you weren't lying to me about how you feel because I love you so much and I can't go through another heartbreak, that pain is excruciating and my body is too weak."  21

"...So...you understand now that I love you and that I'll try to always be there for you? But I don't understand how this would make you so sure about me." Adrian confused to the core looks around the building, wondering if all this is real and lost about everything that just happened. 22

"I knew if you loved me you would fight for me and you did, I knew if you cared about me that you would explain it in front of anybody and who best for you to get mad at besides you best friend? So I'm sorry I did this but it made things clear for me and now we can take things one at a time and you understand that and I understand that." Alena takes his hand and intertwines her fingers with his.23

Adrian, looking at Billy at first and then Alena hugs her, she's the perfect girl for me no matter what obstacles would have to go through, he loved her to the point of death before missing her and he wasn't going to loose her. Adrian punched Billy's arm in a friendly way and him and Alena walk out of school together holding hands. They both get into the same car and drive off with smiles on their faces.24
