CandyMan

I wasn't even paying any attention to the poor guy. Sure, I knew he sat at our table, but he was shy and didn't talk much. Then, I started crushing on the guy who also sat with us... I don't need to say his name, because the only importance of him is that he started dating my best friend, and I backed off. When I backed off, my friend told me that Kyle really liked me. Kyle was the guy sitting with us that I didn't pay much attention to. Well, he started giving me candy (starburts to be exact; my favorite) and slightly flirting with me in his own shy way. He was so sweet, and finally, we started calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. We hit it off pretty good and lasted quite a few months. We even dressed formaly at a non formal dance (oops but nobody tells me things) I mean, we were young (I in 7th grade and he in 6th, though he towered above me) and stupid, but it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, he got annoying after a while. He would beg for food that I was supposed to be eating and wanted to eat until I gave it to him, and a few other things that I don't recall (though it's in a diary somewhere lol). I broke it off. I felt bad and was going to ask him back out, but... he left before I could. He moved away in with his mom.1

Life went on, but I never forgot about him. Then, by some great chance, I met up with him again at a church function, got his number, and hit it off again. We actually kinda went on a date. Then, he and I broke up again for some reason, and he later told me he was gay--and had been gay all his life. Mom and I agreed that he was just confused, because he and I went out again and made out (believe it or not, that's important). Soon after, we were talking on the phone, and he broke up with me, because he was gay. That struck a nerve, but not as hard as what he said next. He said he was fantasizing about some hot guy when he kissed me. OUCH!!2

Oh well, first loves never last... But they also never leave your heart.3

I am very happy that I got to meet a guy like Kyle and date him. He was a very sweet guy, and a good friend. I'm glad to have had a guy like him, but now, I have someone lots better!!!

I will never forget my first true love either and the way we met. I actually started a contest on this site due to that thought. You should never worry about how it made you felt when he said he was thinking of a guy, especially when he admitted that he was gay. You truly are a sweetheart and of course I have a great deal of love for you as well. You're a fantastic AP wife and truly a great friend that I totally treasure.
