My Name Means Nothing (working title) Prologue!!!

Hi, my name is Cajun Ellien. I play the clarinet and I'm kind of considered a nerd in my school. Ya, I'm beautiful and all but my hobbies are not in the popular rank. I hate shopping and I exceptionally hate shopping for shoes! 1

I don't get how girls can spend eons on just picking out shoes. I just grab a pair of tennis shoes that are comfortable and but them. Now I'm not a fashion freak but I know what goes with what clothes. Never wear a neon color, blah, blah, blah, I know!2

Now most girls in my high school will totally pretend to be friend with you and then ditch you. It's not nice! I would never do that and I think that's the problem with me. I'm not mean like the girls. Well, the popular ones.3

I had a couple of friends, geeks also. They were my friends. They would never ditch you or anything. They were like me. In the middle of popular and totally out of fashion. All I needed to survive were my friends but then it came! My parents decided to move! I was raving mad!4

How could they do this to me?! Was this some cruel punishment for me not wanting to practice an hour every day on my clarinet? Cause if it was this was the most cruelest punishment they could have ever thought of!

Author notes

I really want to know what you think! This is going to become a very big story and my first novel!

Please tell me what you think and if I should write a second chapter and so on!

Sounds pretty interesting... many ways you can take this when you continue with it.
I felt that the punctuation and spelling needed a little more attention. I also found it hard to believe that she threw the word "geek" around as if it didn't mean anything and as if her friends didn't care that she called them a geek. Perhaps try saying something like "what they all call geeks" or something along those lines.
those are just suggestions, you can ignore them if you wish.
    Well done, good write.
