Chapter One1
She didn't know what went wrong between the two of them. All she knew was that she couldn't love a man like him any more ... a man just like her asshole of a father. He had made her life a living hell, and now it was time to put him in the past. She was letting her own boyfriend do the same thing to her: push her around and run her life. It was time that she stood on her own two feet. 2
Ginney pulled the end of her skirt down a little below her knees, and grabbed the ring that Dave had given to her last month as a six month anniversary gift. She slipped it into the case that sat on her dresser growing full of dust. Flinging her head forward Ginney pulled her brown hair into a ponytail, stood up, slipped her shoes on to her feet, grabbed the ring, and confidently walked out the door of her apartment rehearsing what she was going to tell him. 3
She would hand him the ring and then calmly say to him "I'm sorry Dave, I just don't think I love you the way you love me." But when she did, she never expected things to turn out the way they did. He grabbed her by the shoulders and through her up against the wall. Ginney had never seen him like this before, it scared her. It reminded her of her father. 4
"You're mine! And if I can't have you then no one will!" Dave shouted out as he banged her head up against the brick wall of a building. They stood in the ally way that they first met, tears were streaming down her face, and rage was filling in his eyes. 5
"Do you hear me!?" He screamed in her face, "ANSWER ME!" 6
What he didn't know is that he had just murdered the love of his life. Her blood flowed down the wall and around her neck. Dave dropped her limp body to the ground, and began to weep. He decided to leave her mutilated body there. If the cops found him standing over her then they would surely think it was his doing. They would know it was his doing. Remorse filled his mind. What have I done? he thought to himself, How will I ever live without my dearest Ginney. My sweet, sweet darling! I miss her so already! Tears streamed from his eyes. Guilt flooding his body. "I'll go to the police, admit it, and tell them it was all me, but there was someone else there...someone with a gun. He held it to my head telling me to bash her head in." he said aloud as if trying to convince himself that it was the truth, "But what if someone saw you Dave? What if there was a witness?" He left her laying there, no one in sight.7
He looked down at his hands to find her blood dripping down from his fingers onto his once perfectly white carpet. This is why he never wanted kids or animals in his house, and now, now he was the one to stain it. Ginney wasn't there to tell him how to get the stain out, or what works best. She wasn't there, and it was all his fault. He frantically began scrubbing at the floor, but the blood became more and more, for he had forgotten to wash his hands. They'll find me, he thought. Dave jumped to his feet and ran into his bathroom. He turned on the sink and let the water run over his hands. Pouring soap onto his hands he thought of her bloodied face staring up at him, and it served him right to be so greedy. Wanting what he couldn't have. 8
Dave quickly dried his hands, and went back to cleaning his carpet. Finally, it was back to the perfect white. He didn't need her, but he didn't completely understand that. He was willing to kill for her and that bitch! That bitch, didn't appreciate the fact that he loved her! She deserved it! At least in his mind she did.9
