Jen shifted uncomfortably putting a cool hand to her hot forhead.1
"Well..he err..he.."2
"He what, babe?"3
"Well, it all started at work. Remember when you came in that one day, to bring me lunch?"4
"Yeah?" Meg looked hard into Jen's face.5
"He saw when you kissed me goodbye and now he doesn't exactly leave me alone."6
"What do you mean hun?"7
"Well, you know how I was demoted at work? It's because when I went to go give a presentation to boss I couldn't find it on my laptop and boss got angry cuz I made him look like a dick infront of the visitors. When I was going to the bathroom Joe had snuck into my workspace and deleted everything I had saved. I saw him going out the door and I looked for any sign of anything, but didn't see anything. Then later I found a email that said "die faggot". I'm so sorry baby, that's why money's been tight lately.8
"No, no it's fine hun. You could have told me sooner."9
"I know and..that's not all." Jens' voice cracked and a tear rolled down her face.10
"What is it?" Meg wiped the tear away and held her hand to Jens' face.11
"The other night he followed me out of work and he..oh Meg, he hit me with a baseball bat and said he was going to come for you too."12
Jen lifted up her shirt and Meg saw the bruises on the back of her ribs.13
Meg couldn't believe it. She'd never seen them before, she didn't know how she missed them. She was afraid. A few ribs had to be, for sure, broken. Things started to add up. Why Jen seemed to lean to the right when she held Meg. Why she started crying last night when Meg was with her. She thought that she was crying because she was happy, really, she was in pain. Oh God, she was in pain..14
Jens' tears started to flow.15
"Oh baby, oh honey. I'm so sorry. So sorry."16
Meg held her.17
"Meg, I'm so sorry. I should've told you. What are we going to do?"18
"No, It's fine. Don't worry about it, ok? I'll take care of it."19
"But..how?"20
Meg looked at her with reassurance,21
"I said not to worry, I'll take care of it." In the back of Megs' mind a plan was formulating. She would talk to Jens' boss alright. Something like this was sure to happen again and Meg would catch it, catch it and show it to Jens' boss. Though, after she got him back. She'd leave a message in the front office saying his momma was there to see him and then while he was up there she'd sneak into his office space and delete one of his saved presentations and save male gay porn on it with the same file name. Joe would be fired and her and her love would be bothered no more. Even if it was a not-so-smart plan, Meg would make it work.22
Jen looked at Meg, her eyes far away.23
"Babe, what are you thinking?"24
"Oh nothing, babe. Here, stick in Cinderella and I'll make us some hot chocolate, ok?"25
Jen knew if Meg said she'd take care of things then she would take care of things. Later they fell asleep, untroubled.26

okay very good when joe was brought into the scene I thought he was like her secret lover or something....lol...glad he wasn't that would have just made me mad....I'm glad that I had both parts open at the same time so all I had to do was switch tabs....lol..but it's good and sweet...but I kinda wish you would go on with it...I want to see (or read rather) the effects of her plan... I think it would be funny but that's just me....
