Mine: Voices

~Prologue~1

In the misty night, a voice could be heard from a solitary house…2

A house stands alone with the other, barley thought to be different. Yet, when children walk by, they stay away from the hauntingly old house. Though, normally, kids would love to explore abandon houses and tell their friends of all the stuff that could be found inside, this house strikes a fear in their heart.3

Many stories have been told of old houses, but none as strange as this. Even though this house old, the beauty of what it holds is still present. It’s made of a marble that was never dirtied of grim or dirt, no layer of dust resides within or outside the house, the color is also quite unique, a shade of light banana-lemon yellow mixed tighter. An inviting color called “Misty Lemon Hue” back in the olden days.4

A garden of flowers, the color of crimson to gold, black to blur, purple to pink, even brown and gray! All healthy and neatly arranged, no fallen petals laying on the ground, no dead flowers in sight, no crumbled from being steeped on or bent from the stem breaking.5

The windows are clear of finger prints, but the very top one has a wonderful designs of the moon being eclipsed in black and a glow of purple (much like a slightly dark lavender) shadowing it painted on as if done by an expert. 6

Just below the house, though, was an extra room underground, hidden from eyes, and ears. Soundproof walls followed down steep steps, caring on for 4 floors. A door in a shade of silver, much live the color of the moon, with a curvy heart embedded on it. 7

Opening the door, showed a room, 6’4, with a crimson painted wall, white wooden floors, and a bed of that of a queen or king. And old time bed with velvet dark purple (almost black, but to bright) curtains hiding the post and mattress from view. The bed itself is made of a sturdy wood, with no cracks or splinters showing in the carvings of tears around the 4 poles and headboard. 8

The sheets are a deep black silk; even the mattress is smooth as silk, only a lighter black. Pillowcases are no different, only the stitching on it is curvier, not straight as of a normal one. What draws attention most, though, is the large mirror hanging on the wall, reaching 5’4, and 4’ wide. It has a pure golden lining, and a silver-ish shade of glass. The top gold part has jewels embedded in it, colors of red, violet, blue, lavender, the middle one of black. Strangely enough, the mirror is broken into many pieces, jewels cracked in half, and gold dulled (no matter how real, the color can fade).9

Now that you’ve seen the house, know the tale. A tale of demons and vampires, hunters and humans. A tale of love and lust, hatred and hopes, betrayal and trust. The tale of what once was, and is still, called ‘Voices’.10

Author notes

yes, the house is inportant, along with the broken mirror, although when the tale starts, the mirror isn't broken.

What do you think? Not bad for my second story? Or is it?
