Mouse: Trixie Travels to the
The Far Away African Jungle
To get a Cure for Parkinson
Disease !1

Well my friends I have a very interesting and hopefully funny story for you all today.
Our little mouse Trixie, heard that there was
a cure for Parkinson Disease in this forest inn
the heart of Africa, she had to go and find
out for herself if it was true.
So she went to the airport and grabbed the
first plane to the place she had heard of
which was called “ The Enchanted Forest ! ”
She arrived in Africa and she was so excited.
“ Imagine, she said to herself, if I can find the
cure to Parkinson Disease how many people
around the world I could make happy.
So she started a safari with some of the local
animals.
She signed up, Alice the aardvark, Lucie the Lion, Jeremy the Giraffe, Emmie the Elephant,
Barry the Baboon, Heda the Hippo, and Roberto
the Rhino, to go on her Safari to find this
mysterious cure for Parkinson Disease, in the
Enchanted Forest.
So off the safari went, they were singing with
joy in, their hearts.
Roberto the Rhino, was the choir director in his
Church, so he started them off with a rousing chorus of “ Amazing Grace, ” which as we all
know is everyone’s favorite hym.
Well after a while of hiking through the jungle
Trixie decided that they should make camp for
the night.
They all helped and before you know it camp was
set up, and dinner was cooling on the open fire.
It was a beautiful night, so the group thought it would be fun to tell ghost stories.
So since Trixie was the leader she got to go
first.
It got so quiet when she began her story.
She told them the story of “ The Count of Monte Cristo.
When she finishd everyone applaud cheered.

A lot like what they were doing ! They were all pretty tired so they all hit the hay early.
Well the sun rose and it was a great day, so they left in
a hurry, still singing “ Amazing Grace ! ”
Trixie was a little confused, because she really didn’t
Know what they were supposed to find.
So when they ran into Michael J. Fox who just
happened to be camping in the forest,
Trixie went up to him and said, “ Michael, hi, we heard
that the cure for Parkinson Disease could be found in this Forest, would you happen to know where it is.
“ Why yes I do know, and I’m so glad that you brave animals have come all this way looking for it. ”
“ I was wondering, does one of you have it, ? ”
Trixie, started to tell Michael, that it was her creator,
who had Parkinson’s Disease, since 1995. ”
“ Wow that’s a long time. How old is he now? ”
He is 56 years old ! ” Trixie said to Michael.
well as you may or may not know, Parkinson’s Disease is a Progressive Disease, and it will only get worse
and worse. ”
“ So I hate to tell you my young friends, we still don’t have a cure.? ”
“ Buy I want to thank for coming all this way and looking. ”
“ It shows me that you have a good heart, and one day
maybe we’ll find a cure, so that people will live healthy again. ”
Well Trixie and her friends thanked Michael J. Fox for all of his help and quietly headed back home.
Trixie thanked her new friends for helping her.
And then she headed for the airport to catch a plane
for home.
