Who I am

I am obscure.  I like to run around the house in knee-high rainbow-striped socks belting out lyrics to ‘Rainbow Stylin’. I am indifferent. I don’t care who cheated on whom or why Angelina’s broken up with Brad. I am divergent. Because I WOULD rather be playing Halo 3 with a group of boys and be eating greasy take-out than having facials and manicures with the girls. (eww)1

I am distrustful. I cannot believe in people even if they are my own family or close friends. I am insensitive. I hurt people every day with my words, even if I try not to. I am damaged. I am too scared to be close to anyone because they may hurt me, and I may hurt them. I am me. Because someone has to keep father sober, mother from leaving father, sister from abusing others by allowing her to abuse me, best friend from committing suicide.2

I am me because if I’m not, who else will be?

Author notes

I will always be me because people need me to be. To be strong when they break, to pick up the peices and try to glue it back together. I can't break because who will be there to pick up my peices?

    I have to say this piece was very nice. I like how dark and frustatrated you are and can definitally relate. The only problem i have is with the spelling.
