She lay on the ground, not moving.1

staring at the sky....2

It was then... that I knew...3

"Hi, are you alone? did u wanna join me an my friends over at the bar?"5

Sam ignored the guy in front of her, glancing once again at her watch.6

Seeing the guy not moving, she replied. "No thanks, I've got to go." before getting up off her seat and walking out of the club.7

"Stood-up once again." she murmered under her breath as she walked down the street.8

"Sam! HEY SAM!" the guy stood in front of her, blocking her path.
"So what, thats it? you're just leaving?!"10

"I wasn't the one who cheated." she replied, moving around him and continuing on her way.11

"Well, what do you expect, damn frigid bitch."12

Sam didn't turn around, she just kept on walking. She was always walking, moving...13

"Umm... ex..excuse me."
Sam moved her gaze from the clouds above to the guy standing nervously next to a nearby tree.15

"Are... um.. Are you Sam?"16

cursing on the inside, Sam sat up, collecting her bag. "Depends who's asking."17

"Oh.. ah.. sorry. My name's Michael. um, you used to.. um.. go out with a guy named Rick right?"18

"A sleezy bastard bout 6 foot, enjoys sleeping around?"19

"Ah.." he looked down, smiling. "Yeah, thats him. um... He wanted me to give you this, apparently it was yours." He held out a small bag.20

Sam took the bag, confused. upon opening it she found random bits of make-up and other stuff. "well... uh, thanks for that." Standing up, Sam went to leave.21

"Um..."22

She stopped and turned around, facing Michael. "Yes?"23

He seemed to look around, as if searching for his voice.24

"Look, I don't have all day."25

"Ah. Sorry, it's nothing, sorry..." With that he walked away.26

Shaking her head, Sam turned back around, and continued walking.
