Ch 3 of The abnormal adventures of Jim Aiden: Stuck in the past

Chapter three, the riddle.1

Jim walked into his room wanting to be left alone. He longed for a proper family. One that had no secrets, no lies, and no wonder. Suddenly a voice that made a shiver creep up through Jim's spine. It called out in a loud whisper. "Jim, is it you?"2

"Um, yes. Who's in my room? Aunt Mezly?"3

"Look under the bed."4

For a moment, Jim froze like a statue. He laid stomach first on the bed and slowly ducked his head down on the floor looking under the bed. There lied a pencil, just a normal every day number two pencil.5

"Jim, I came over that night to tell you something, but people were watching me. Go get a piece of paper, I can't say this out loud." He ran to his backpack and grabbed his notebook. The pencil jumped out from under the bed and landed on Jim's desk. He placed paper down and watched the pencil. It wrote, "I am hard as plastic, ice cold when barely touched, not very unbreakable, especially with an object to clutch."6

With that final word still stuck in mid-air, the pencil shredded itself and left a crumb pile on the desk. Jim thought so hard that he couldn't think of anything else but to think hard.
