Dreams of War(Part 2)

"Hey ,Adam! Give me cold one, would ya?" Tristan sat down at a bar stool, leaning slightly on the counter. Watching the bartender get his usual drink, he rubbed his temples in irritation.1

"What's bugging you today? You look even more uptight than usual."2

Cursing Adam for being so observant, he thought about the dream he had earlier that morning.3

She was beautiful. She stood with her back to him, her jet black hair shining against the small of her back; even in the dim light that radiated from her body. Her thin frame was leaning against the wall beside her. They stood in silence, neither one of them wanting to speak first. She turned to face him; hazel met green, searching each other souls for the answers. 4

For some reason, this dream made him uneasy. It was the same girl that haunted his dreams for the past two weeks. But for some reason this dream bugged him more than the others, but he couldn't understand why.As he thought about this, he turned around in his stool to look out the glass wall that was the front entrance of the bar.5

"Here you go, man. And cheer up, thinking doesn't work for you." Tristan smirked at the usual teasing that his friend offered.6

"Thanks Adam." Turning slightly to pick up his drink, he looked at Adam and gave him a slow grin. "Put it on my tab would ya?" He turned around smiling for the first time that day. Thinking he got away with it, he turned to stare out the glass wall again, until he felt a towel pop him in the head. Shaking off the shock, he laughed and put up his empty hand in surrender. Hearing a chuckle behind him, he smiled. Suddenly his eyes caught something.7

Someone was running. A second later two figures followed behind them. Tristan's eyes widened when he realized that it was a girl running. Just as he was preparing to get out of his seat when she passed the doorway, something slammed her into the wall form the side. Glass flew everywhere, while customers got out of the way as quick as they could.8

The two people that were following her came in through the glass and started walking toward the girl. Stepping forward to help her, Tristan stopped when he saw her get up and kick of them in the face. The other one stepped forward and tried to grab her neck. She grabbed his hand and twisted it behind his back. Pushing him to the ground, she stomped on his arm causing a sicking crunch and a howl of pain. The one that slammed her into the glass tackled her to the ground.Tristan ran over and 9

pulled him off and punched him, knocking him unconscious.10

The whole bar was silent as the girl as stood.Tristan turned to look at her,and his breath caught in his throat. It was her.The girl,no,woman that haunted his dreams for so long.11
