A Friend's Love

This is an email that my guy friend wrote me about the girl he loves.  I wouldn't normally post something that another wrote, but this is so beautiful I had to share it.  Here it is, exactly as he wrote it to me; I haven't changed a thing.1

"I can't concentrate on anything; the same picture of a smile on her face engulfs2

my mind all the time. I couldn't eat because my stomach felt like it didn't just3

have "butterflies" in it, but was doing back flips the whole day, I had to try4

to work up an appetite that I knew was there. It's difficult to sleep, I’d5

almost rather stay up and think about her when fatigue sets in. holding my6

breath I can't seem to illustrate my feelings, but my symptoms make it obvious7

that this time its different. Someone this bright in my mind means something.8

But I’m scared to take the risk of having the same outcome as I’ve always had.9

I'm saturated in my feelings for her so much that it interferes with my daily10

activities. But I won't let someone that beautiful leave my mind. Just talking11

to her makes me feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven. But I feel like I’m at12

the bottom a wall I fallen off so many times, I’m not sure if I want to climb it13

again, I hope it's worth it to take the chance. She's just so driven, alert,14

understanding, beautiful, and happy, if it was a treasure hunt she is the15

ultimate find. In a constant state of awe I realize how much she means to me,16

and I hope she feels the same way."17
