Ch 2 of The abnormal adventures of Jim Aiden: Stuck in the past

Chapter two, unpleasant visit.1

Last year, the old man died of a heart attack. Over the years, Jim began to love him as a father. Some memories still burn in his head of Gary and Andy. But the confusion of his half brains makes the memories foggy. Now, Jim has moved on a bit. He got adopted to the Boo's. They aren't a very normal family. Mama Boo works as a house cleaner and loves to talk to herself. Jim's sister, Wendy Boo has a mind of her own. She likes to scream at the top of her lungs random sentences that most of the time doesn't make sense at all. Jim attached to them quickly. I guess because he was just like them, strange. Yet, he still felt like something was missing. Something that was always there, but he can't quit see it.2

The wheels whistled along with the morning sounds of Jim's town. He opened the window to see Aunt Mezly's baggy old and narrow face arrowing out of her rusty red car. Even though Jim was not related to Aunt Mezly by blood, he had a past with her. You see, Aunt Mezly was Jim's first foster mom, for like a month. Jim wasn't a foster son to her, but just a servant and a reason to get money from the government which she says she deserved. Jim thinks that all Aunt Mezly deserves is a smack in her crusty face. She stomps into the room like there's concrete on her feet screaming "Hey kid!" She seemed to not realize that he was right next to her. "Get my bags out of the car."
"Why?" Jim asked.
"Why not?" She sharply answered beaming her eyes at him as if she was holding the thought to hit him.
Jim, not wanting her to act on that thought, went and got the bags. "SISSY!" Mama Boo said with her arms wide open as if Aunt Mezly wanted a hug. But instead she just walked right past her and glared at the house. It was a rather small house, very old and dusty. Jim thought Aunt Mezly would like it do to the fact that she was just like that house, old and dusty. It had a charm to it though, which unlike Aunt Mezly was a good thing. She, on the other hand, had a sort of twisted charm, one that only made her happy.
"Where's my room?" She said through her gritted yellow teeth.
"We don't have an extra room Sissy" Said Mama Boo, "We didn't know you were staying."
"That's alright, the kid will sleep on the couch." And that night, he did.
No one knew why Aunt Mezly stayed over that night. No one likes to talk to her that much. The next morning she was gone, no questions asked. It seems that Jim was the only one that was worried by that. "Jim!" said Mama Boo with a mighty giant smile on her face. "Off to school Hunny, go get Wendy." Then she skipped off all happy like having a talk to herself about positive self-esteem.3

Smacking on some gum, Mrs. Sikk, Jim Literature teacher, pointed to the board with a ruler. Jim liked her cause she was happy, not crazy-happy like Mama, but happy. She had this obsession with frogs that was a little strange. Many kind of toys and stuff frogs filled the corner of her room near her desk. "Today," She spoke very loudly throughout the room, "We will be reading Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskerville's. Now, why do you think we are reading this? Todd?"
A blond boy in the front row of the class room said, "Um, I don't know."
"Because," She said narrowing her eyes toward Jim. "Even the closest family has secrets."
Jim knew she was talking about him. But what was she speaking of? What secret? And if it was about Jim's family, which one? One mind told Jim not to meddle in, while the other one seeked the truth. You see, Mrs. Sikk is Wendy Boo's god mother. Mama Boo and Mrs. Sikk were the best of friends. No one knew why they were torn apart. But, Mrs. Sikk remained Wendy's god mother. The bell rang to go to second block class, he didn't want to leave. Jim walked up to her desk. "Tell me what you know. Which family? Is it bad? How come it's a secret kept so tight?"
"I can't tell you much," She whispered. "All I can say is this. Death is a questionable thing. Wonder signs are all around why it happens.. or how. I said all that I can say."
"But-"
"Off you go, no questions."
The bus rid home was a silent one for Jim as if the wonder signs along with question marks were dancing in his head and squeezing his brains. He was confused by all of this and wanting it to stop right then. He screamed out, "I WANT TO BE NORMAL!" Jim looked up to see everyone on the bus looking at him. "FREAK!" Yelled a random kid.
