‘Who are you?
I don’t know you anymore.’
You said to me.
Do you want to know who I am?1
I am zombie.2
I am either alive or dead.
I am alone,
broken,
hurt,
and damaged.3
I am dead on the inside,
hollow,
unfeeling,
dying,
and afraid.4
I’m nothing.
And I exist only because I remember to breathe.
I’m only like a cardboard cutout of a real person.
Look hard because I’m also invisible.5
‘Who are you?’
You say to me again.
I only look up at you
and then stare at you.
You know the answer to that by now, don’t you?6
I am a princess,
a warrior,
a lover,
and an artist.
I am in control.7
I am zombie.8
