Part III

Up and down the corridor she kept walking. Smoking one cigar after the other. Her hands were shaking again, this time more fiercely than ever. But she didn't look at them, not for a moment, her eyes were staring at empty space. Clearly she was lost in her thoughts. It was already late but she couldn't sleep.. Her mind was too fool of thoughts to stand still so she kept on walking miles up and down in the corridor of her suburban house.1

He, on the other hand, was in his library, reading as he used to do before going to sleep. He couldn't focus on the book though. His mind was still on Lilly. Over the years that came to be something normal for him.. No matter what he was doing some part of his mind was thinking of his young patient. In the begging it was more of a concern over what she might be doing right now or how he could help her but over time the thoughts of her made him feel peaceful rather than worried. It was as if he knew she was OK and felt good about that information.. Right now all he could think was next week when he would see her again..2

"So tell me Lilly have you thought about what may have caused all that anxiety?" the man asked. "You know you are not a very good doctor, are you?" Lilly asked ignoring his question and kept on without waiting for an answer "last week you abandoned me without trying to help me.. I could have committed suicide, have you thought about that?"3

"Now Lilly we both know you're not gonna do that.." he said. "And how can you be so sure?" Lilly asked a bit annoyed by the confidence of his answer. "Because you love hating life far too much..."
