Vampire Love

With a bite on the neck she trembled. Feeling her life force drain from her,she submitted happily. Now she could be with her beloved forever,or could she? 1

"What if he takes too much? What if this kills me?", Aria thought to herself dizzily.2

"Trust me," a male voice said in her mind. "Please trust me,Aria."3

"Mark? You can hear my thoughts?"4

"Yes,my love.I will explain everything afterwards.Trust me."5

"I trust you."6

As he finished,Mark cut his wrist with his dagger and allowed her to drink from him.As Aria drank her beloved's warmth, she received an enormous flow of Mark's thoughts and memories.7

"It's all going so fast," she thought to herself.8

"Don't worry," Mark said calmly. "Just keep going. You'll know when to stop.No harm will come to you.You will never feel pain ever again."9

He was right. As the images slowed,Aria was able to see more clearly many events of Mark's life through his memory's eye.Soon it was all done. The transformation was complete. She was now a creature of the night,a vampire, just like her true love,Mark.10

"Teach me everything,Mark," Aria whispered.11

"Where shall I begin,my love?"12

"Well, are we just like the vampires in movies and television or are we totally different?"13

Mark smiled, "According to my Sire, that's usually one of the most popular questions asked. In some ways yes,in some ways no.We do need to be invited inside a residence by someone who lives there.Once we are invited,we can come and go as we please.Sunlight is no bother, unless you're a pureblood."14

"What's a pureblood?What's that mean?" Aria asked.15

Mark shook his head. "I'm sorry,my love. But some things I cannot tell you. Please understand that some things must be kept in certain circles. This is one promise, one trust,I cannot break."16

Aria placed her finger on his lips. "Say no more, my love. You don't have to explain.I love you,I trust you.I know that you can't tell me everything.Remember,I did receive a lot of your thoughts.Only tell me what I need to know.I'll understand the rest."17

Mark smiled at his love, his bride, his soulmate. He kissed her gently and lovingly ran his fingers through her long dark hair.He then started to caress the Celtic cross that laid around her neck.Breaking the kiss,as gently as it started,he continued to tell her about her new powers.18

"Since you were religious as a human, that can continue on as a vampire. You were a good natured human, you can be a good vampire. You may wear and look at crosses, you may enter any church or graveyard or sacred ground. The only catch is that you cannot feed or break sacred trusts or bonds on these grounds. In a way it changes who you were and who you are.Do you understand everything so far?"19

"Yes,actually I do understand everything. It's all perfectly clear to me.I take it that garlic is also not a problem, right? After all,if you remember,on our first date you ate pizza."20

Mark chuckled. "Again you amaze me.Yes,you are right and before you even ask,it is a problem for purebloods. The main ways we can die are by fire burning and by any object piercing though the heart,be it bullet or wood. There's so much more to tell you,but right now I think it's time for us to have some fun."21

"Oh,really?, exclaimed Aria as she grinned wickedly."What kind of fun are you talking about? What do you have in mind?"22

Mark took her hand in his and together they walked to the edge of the tall building through which they stood upon. They smiled at each other, reading each other's thoughts, and jumped.23

Like he told you earlier, I liked this a lot, especially the ending. Lots of possibilities to go on from there. You should continue it, I'd look forward to reading that. Good write.
