I sighed as I leaned back on my prosthetic arm looking up into the sky. The date was 9 September the year 1935. I looked over at my brother sleeping and smiled. After three years of being separated from him he was finally with me again and had been for 6 years now. Noah slept at my other side curled into a ball. She was happy now because we have traveled far enough that she wasn’t ridiculed anymore. We now are in Poland, Warsaw to be exact.1

“Come on Grandma if we hurry we may be able to sneak onto a ship today” came a woman’s voice.2

“U won’t be able to they check the ships thorough...Winry, Pinako.” I said softly looking at the blonde-haired beauty and next to her the short gray-haired old hag.3

“How did u know our names” the old lady said.4

“Um that’s just what u two look like.” I said sitting up.5

“Brother who r u talkin...” al started to say but stopped wen he saw them as well.6

“Winry” he said brightly running over and hugging her tightly.7

“Um hi.” she said confused.8

“I’m srry bout my brother u just remind us of a girl who was like our sister.” I said pulling him off Winry.9

“Well I’m flattered.” she said smiling.10

WINRY’S POV11

“So why r u trying to sneak onto a ship.” the little blonde boy asked.12

“We want to go to America where we won’t be persecuted for our religious beliefs.” I told him.13

“What do u mean.” the brunette asked.14

“U haven’t heard. Probably not. Hitler took control and is trying to make an Aryan race. If ur with that woman u should leave to. He will want Poland and then it won’t be safe. Especially for us jews and the gypsies.” I said. “So I never did ask u what r ur names and where do u hail from?”15

“I’m ed and I come from a town called Resembool.” the blond said. “This is my little brother Al. And that is Noah.”16

“Well my name is Winry which u somehow already knew and this is my grandmother Pinako. Where is Resembool” I asked.17

“No where u would no” al said.18

“And ur the little brother by how many years I mean it cant be much cause other then the color of ur hair u two could pass for twins.” I said.19

“WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SMALL AN ANT CAN STOMP HIM INTO THE GROUND” the blond yelled at me.20

“Calm down Ed she wasn’t calling u short.” al said softly.21

“But he is short.” Grandma said.22

“Grr...” ed was about to go off again before al grabbed his mouth.23

The gypsy girl Noah woke up and looked at us then smiled. I smiled back at her. Just because she was a gypsy didn’t mean she was bad.24

“Hi my name is Winry.” I told her putting out my hand to shake hers.25

“Noah.” she said smiling and shaking my hand.26

She gasped then again smiled at me. Ed and al turned to her.27

“What did u see this time.” Al asked.28

“She is a kind girl. She has never had a sinful thought in her life and is a mechanic just like ur winry.” Noah said.29

“If u wanna go to America we’ll pay for the boat tickets for u both.” Al said smiling.30

“We couldn’t have u do that.” grandma said.31

“Then we’ll come with u as well. Ur not getting to America any other way.” Ed told us.32

“Fine pipsqueak.” grandma said.33

“Grandma there is no need to be rude.” I told her glaring slightly.34

~TWO WEEKS LATER~35

Ed and I have gotten really close on the trip to America. He’s told me all about his old world and the adventures he’s been on. Truthfully though I think he’s been hit one to many times on the head. He is still really cute though. There is no two ways around that.36

“And that is how the hero of the people along with his little brother saved the state from destruction.” he finished dramatically.37

I smiled softly trying not to laugh. There are some other things I’ve noticed about him. It was really funny wen I did them.38

“Hey ed.” I said smiling.39

“Yeah winry.” he said looking at me.40

“Do u want some milk it’ll help u grow.” I said smirking.41

“DAMN IT WINRY HOW MANY F***ING TIMES HAVE I TOLD U I AM NOT F***ING SHORT AND I DO NOT NEED SOME GROSS A** MILK TO F***ING MAKE ME F***ING GROW.” he yelled.42

I started laughing really hard at his reaction. The ship must have gone over a wave or something but I ended up rolling off the bed we were both sitting on. I waited for the hard ground to meet me but it never did.43

“U ok.” ed asked softly.44

I opened my eyes and saw that he had caught me in his arms and was lifting me back onto the bed. All I could do was nod as a bright red blush was painted onto my face.45

“Ya know the only regret I ever had from leaving that world is never having the courage to tell her I loved her.” he said softly.46

I didn’t need to guess who he was talking about. I easily knew. It was who I reminded him of. He had told me continuously of her and how much I reminded him of her.47

“Ur just like her in every way. And I think I may love u just as much as I loved her.” he said then kissed me quickly.48

I closed my eyes and began kissing him back. We had only known each other for two weeks but it felt like he’s been around all my life protecting me. He laid me back onto the bed and started climbing over me then held me down with his hips.
