Lucifer's Child (Part III)

Nikita pounded her fist on the table. “Damn you, Kali!” she hissed. Dominic was glaring at the girl. “You have led him right to Nikita, Kali. If he finds her…” he said threateningly. “Kita, we must get out of here. We can go to our base, continue from there,” Dominic said to her. “No. No. I will not be driven away! We are staying. Kali, you must find Raphael. Kill him. He cannot be allowed to tell what he has found. If you die before him, pray that God will forgive you. I won’t,” Nikita spat. Kali was bristling in anger and said, “If you weren’t his daughter-“ “You would kill me this instant. I know. As it is, I’d like to see you try, girl,” Nikita sneered. She grabbed Kali’s wrist and flung her out the door. “You have two hours,” Nikita said. “See you in Hell,” Kali replied. Nikita mocked bowed to her and turned away. The girl angrily strode down the street. She slowed, noticing a familiar back of the head. Kali jogged to catch up with it and shoved the person forward. “Did you think I wouldn’t find you, Elayne?” Kali asked. “Wh-what do you mean, General?” Elayne asked fearfully. “You disobeyed my orders, Elayne. You did not marshal all the vampires. You have your own group loyal to you, your own regiment, for personal use,” Kali explained softly. Elayne’s eyes widened and she punched Kali and started to run. “Damn you, girl,” Kali muttered. As Kali moved to chase the girl, she heard a voice behind her say. “Don’t waste your time chasing her. You now have more pressing matters.” She turned around to see Raphael leaning against a wall. “I suppose I could always chase her after I kill you,” Kali replied, mock thoughtfully. “Ah, come now. Pride is a sin,” Raphael said blandly. “I wrote the book on sin, honey. Both volumes,” Kali said playfully,” Let’s get this over with, shall we?” “Only if you have a death wish,” Raphael replied. Kali grinned and stepped towards him.1
