Shay’s eyes widened with fear. As she watched the blood of Demonic trickle down his side and into a water puddle beneath him.
Demonic shadowed his face to hide the pain. his arms were clutching the area of the wound, and where the sword stuck out.
Taiya’s look was that of pure terror. Her icy blue eyes were wide and full of fear and shock . Blood was on her White rain coat along with the wet sticky mud that she had landed in. 4
That could have been her. That could have been her with the sword sticking right into her side, that could have been her feeling the sharp and unbearable pain.5
The Vampire holding the sword , hissed a laugh. Its teeth stuck out, ready to pierce.
Shay panicked.
‘ no, if he gets bitten….’ She thought. And with one swift move, she reached for her Hitaku sword, and unsheathed it.
The rest was a blur, even Demonic couldn’t make out what happened. The only thing he felt was the sudden jolt of the sword in his side being yanked out. It almost hurt more then it being injected in. 6
Blood spilt, and the thunder roared.7
Though, the blood was that of Demonic. The pulling of the sword was followed by blood.
He fell to his knee’s and clutched his bleeding wound tightly. 8
Shay stood in front of him, her sword out infrotn of her and ready for battle.
The vampire had no other choice then to retreat from his blood thirsty chase against demonic.
The blood sucker now hid in a tree, waiting for a chance to attack a second time. 9

Which could be any time soon. 11
Taiya didn’t move. In shock, she sat staring at the spot where she once stood, and where the whole incident occurred. 12
“ Demonic?” shay turned her body around carefully, still staying alert for any movement of the vampire. 13
“ demonic, are you ok?” Shay’s voice filled with concern, she touched the shoulder of her friend. He didn’t answer, just kneeled down clutching his pain full wound. 14

“ demonic!?” Shay yelled . 16
“ I’m… fine…” Demonic hissed. He stood up, the blood poured out . 17
Shay stood up hastily.
“ you mustn’t ! don’t stand! Let me bandage your wound. . “ shay pulled him down, and began to search her pat-kit at her right thy for a bandage.

“ The.. Princess..” Demonic breathed. 19
Shay swung her head around to look at the princess. Still in shock; she sat there.

“ she’ll be fine. Let me bandage your wound, remove your shirt. “ shay demanded, not caring for the snobby princess, her only concern was her friend. Who was bleeding badly. Death threatening badly. 21
Demonic removed his shirt. The gash was deep and wide. About the length of a finger, and wide enough to fit a loony into it. It bleed furiously.
Immediately, Shay began to bandage it. Wrapping clumsily, at the smallest state of panic. 22
“ calm .. Your self.” Demonic said through a pained voice. 23
“ its bleeding pretty bad..”” shay said quickly. 24
A movement was heard from behind. Shay spun around with her fist ready to punch.
She paused when she realized who it was.
Shay turned around to face her attention to Demonic once again. He groaned with pain as she tightened the bandage to secure the wound and halt the bleeding.25
“ is he… hurt?”Taiya spoke from behind Shay. Her voice still shaky from what just happened.

“ yes…” shay answered bluntly. 27
It was silent for a moment. 28
Shay finished , and stood up. She gestured for Demonic to grab her hand, for a lift up. He took her hand, and pulled himself up. 29
He stood, his legs a little shaky from the pain in his side, though he could handle it. 30
Shay turned her attention to Taiya. Shay’s grey eyes pierced her icy blue ones. 31
“ next time defend yourself.” shay hissed. And stomped off, demanding the two behind her to follow. 32
Taiya lowered her head. A little ashamed at how weak she is. 33
But what could a princess, that has never even thought of being trained for any type of battle, know about battle?34
Taiya stood . Feeling alone, and confused. 35
‘ is she mad at me?’ she thought. 36
“ its ok. “ Demonic said from behind. Taiay turned around, feeling embarrassed to even look at Demonic. 37
After all , she is responsible for all of this. 38
“ its one of her 2 emotions. “ 39
Taiya perked her head up and looked at demonic in question. 40
“ one of her 2 emotions?” she repeated in question. 41
“ yes, when you live in Raven town. You have no emotions. Its just something that happens to every body. But there is another thing that happens to everybody in the town, you are granted two emotions. Shays are sorrow, meaning she is sad a lot if something horrible happens. And her second one is Loyalty, I guess you could say. Seeing some one close to her being used, or hurt due to other influences, gets her defensive. And this happens to be a situation where she would get defensive. Don’t worry, she will calm down soon. “
demonic said. Almost emotionlessly. 42
“ the fear that shay was just feeling then… was a fake emotion?” Taiya asked, her mind confused. The way Raven town people lived… is so. Weird. 43
“ not necessarily, it was real fear. Just, a small amount of fear. She and I are still young, and our emotions haven’t fell absolutely absent just yet. It takes about the age of 17 or 18 to lose all emotion and only have the ones you are granted..” 44
Demonic said, then started to follow shay. Who stood waiting about 30 feet ahead. In the pouring rain, she was almost a blur. 45
Taiya followed. Her hair now messy, and her Umbrella, well It was damaged by the impact of her fall. and now, she will be soaked. 46

Later on that night, the rain finally came to a halt. The ground stayed soaked, and the tree’s had little water droplets dripping off of each individual leaf. The moon shining high and brightly in the sky, surrounded by countless stars that shone with each one, telling a small tale of how it came to be. 49
No one would take the time to look at the stars. No one except for Shay, who is sitting on a tree branch star gazing as a fire that demonic started was keeping the other two warm below her. 50
Shay was still soaked. And of course , she was cold. But, her anger towards Taiya was enough to keep her up here. 51
Demonic, who was sitting across the fire from taiya eating a piece of jerky looked at Shay. He sighed. 52
‘ shay…let it go… I know its hard. Just let it go.’ he thought. 53
The fire cracked, and the warmth of it hit Demonic’s face. He closed his eyes, or at least his one eye. 54
( me: did I forget to mention that he only has one eye? Well.. Sort of one eye. The other one has sort of like a curse on it, so he bandaged it up and covered it. I’ll show you a picture (( not to good I mind you )) of demonic that drew sometime later..ok?)55
‘ will you please.. Please let it go?’ he continued his thoughts. ‘ I let my tragedy go..’ 56
Sitting at the top of the tree, shays mind trailed off to the past. ‘ no dad..I never even knew him..no mom…and now… no brother.’ she thought of her family. Before her birth even occurred, her father had gone off to war as a L.S.A.D.H captain of squad 4 against the cutters, the largest organization of vampires in the entire world. 57
Being involved in that war, brought Shay’s father to his death. He died defending raven town. And because he died, and because of the suicide like act he preformed to save the town, Raven town stands today. 58
At Shay’s birth, her mother died giving it. It was to much for her. The doctor told Shay’s older brother , Jordan to take care of her. And the cause of her mothers death of shays birth. It is something supposingly inhuman, but Shay never got the chance to know what it is. For her brothers death came six years later. 59
Another war was being held against the same group of vampires, apparently the last one didn’t wipe out the entire clan. 60
Jordan was a L.S.A.D. H member and was forced to go to the war. Though he wanted to at the same time, to protect Raven town. 61
Against shays will, she was forced to move in with Demonic and his parents for the time of Jordan’s absence. 62
Shay didn’t mind being with demonic of course, he was her only friend. She just didn’t want Jordan to go. She wanted to stay with her brother forever. 63
But that could never be.64
Four months into the war, the cutters sent a smaller group of vampires to attack raven town while almost all members of L.S.A.D.H were out at war. 65
Hundreds died, and at that time was when Demonic lost his eye vision and the odd curse was inflicted upon him causing him to bandage it up. 66
Jordan never returned, and Shay knew he died protecting Raven town. The same fate that their father inflicted. 67
Now here shay is, left with out any family and almost no friends except for Demonic. Who is the only one who still acknowledges her in Raven town. Ever since her birth, Shay has been nothing but a ghost to every body. 68
Now, sitting her on the top of the tree, shay has made herself sad. She clutched her fists and held In a scream of sorrow. 69
“ shay?” a voice called from below. She looked down to see Demonic gazing up at her, his silver/white eyes shining in the moonlight. 70
He smiled warmly, trying to show that he wanted her to come down. Though the smile was empty , for his emotions were being dragged down faster then any fourteen year old in raven town has before. 71
“ will you come down?” he asked. Shay nodded, and jumped down. Landing right beside Demonic.
“ hi shay.” Taiya said from Behind. Shay ignored her, giving the cold shoulder. 72
“ sit by me?” Demonic sat down and patted the ground beside him. Shay, with out a word accepted and sat down. 73
She stared blankly at the fire, watching the flames dance. The only noise was that of the fire cracking . 74
An awkward silence. Though shay did not mind.75
She actually enjoyed silence. That way, you don’t have to deal with stressing noises such as loud talkers, obnoxious people . Ect.

Demonic hardly even cared, he is too distracted by small things to notice. Right now he’s caught in his own thoughts, thinking of how long it will take before they reach light town. The pain in his side has died down, and now it only shoots small throbs of pain every now and then. The bleeding has halted, which is a good thing too. 77
Taiya, on the other hand hated silence. She felt extremely awkward at this moment. She hated the fact that the people around her are thinking of their own things, and she has no clue what those things are. 78
It could be about her?79
Either way, the silence stayed. Two stay satisfied, and one stays not.80
“ why are you guys always so.. Depressing?emo?” 81
Taiya asked. Nothing came back as an answer. 82
She sighed, knowing that it was pointless. These people were far to depressing. 83
Taiya stood up and walked towards a tree, where she was planning on sleeping. 84
She sat down, the hard wood at her back wasn’t as comfortable as she wanted it to be, but at least it was better then nothing. 85
And, at least the ground was slightly soft from the dampness,. She was cold, but the nearby fire would shortly warm her up. 86
She attempted to sleep. 87

Shay and Demonic sat by the fire. Its warm flames calmed their senses and thoughts. 89
Shay was worrying constantly about Demonic, but didn’t say a word. 90
“ we should get some rest..” Demonic said softly, his voice no longer holding the pain from his wounded side. 91
“ I suppose…we should take turns on look out. In case that vampire is still near.” she answered. Demonic nodded in agreement. 92
“ good idea… I’ll go fi-”93
“ no, I will. You should rest . If anything were to come, you wouldn’t be able to fight it off on your own any way, your wound is pretty serious. I’ll stay watch for 4 hours, then you can for 3 then I will continue for the night. “94
Shay cut off Demonic. There’s no way she’s going to let him stay up alone. He is in no state for fighting, at least not tonight. He should rest. 95
Demonic hesitated, but then nodded in agreement.
“ if you need anything, awake me. “ he spoke, then rested his head on the ground. Not even bothering to move to a different area. 96
Shay answered with a small nod. 97
The fire cracked, and the woods fell silent. Shay stayed alert and ready for anything. Despite her tired state, she would stay up all the way threw the night.
Demonic will not be taking a shift’ she thought to her self. 98
And soon, Demonic fell into a slumber. Shay now being the only awake . 99
Hopefully, nothing would strike tonight. 100
Shay put her hand to her neck. Holding the small wound that was there. 101
Something was troubling her. 102
Something happened , when the vampire was here. When she charged, and not even demonic made out what happened. 103
Something happened to Shay, that she could not tell just yet. 104

I really liked chapters. It's interesting how they can choose 2 emotionsto keep. If I were to choose 2 of my emotions, i would choose happiness, and sorrow, b/c that way I wouldn't be miserable all the time, but I could take things more seriously too. Im really getting in to this story. ^.^ I will definently read on.

I like it! ;3 Some itches I had while reading this story were...
In dialog you need to have the first letter of the sentecne to be upper case.
There is no need to space after quotes.
Some paragraphs are too rushed. They are too short and quick, might want to add some more detail to the story. Mainly the ending. Also, in the ending, the last three sentences started off with the same word.
Also, spell out numbers under one hundred!
I loved the plot, though it got a tad confusing because it is chapter two, and your characters are realistic! Keep it up and good luck in the contest! -
