Sonya lay on the bed when she heard a tap on her door. Next, she turned on the lamp that sat on the table. Throne walked into her room as she sat up to give him a dirty look.1
“Good, the curtains are closed and the windows are locked.”2
“You know, it isn’t nice to walk into a room, not knowing if a person is dressed or not.”3
“Or being tied to a chair.” He laughed at her as he left the door open.4
“What is that suppose to mean?”5
“I know that you went to the wagon today.”6
Sonya stared into his eyes as she saw that gleam in them. She rolled to the other side of the bed to get up.7
“Ouch!” Sonya put her hand on her neck and fell on the bed.8
Throne raced over to her to place her legs on the bed. He bent down to move the blanket out of his way for the long chain under the bed; he reached for it to pull it out. Then opened the shackle and closed it on her ankle. Snap. Her eyes moved back and forth.9
“The chain is long enough for you to use the bathroom and to lay on the bed comfortably.” He patted on her leg. “The drug will be wearing off in a few minutes. Mama will be bringing your dinner soon.”10
“You can’t do this…” Sonya mumbled.11
“Nobody isn’t going to hurt you, and this is for your protection.”12
Throne walked away from her and went to the door. He walked out of the bedroom as he closed it. Click. She wanted to scream at him.13
I am a slave again! How I’m going to get out of here? Chained to the floor! I must free myself, but how?14
Sonya sat up; the chain dropped to the floor, and went to the foot of the bed as she tried to reach for the windows. The chain pulled on her ankle; next, she tried to go to the door, the chain yanked on her leg, and she returned to the bed.15
“Fine…” she mumbled again.16
The loud music filled the tiny bedroom as people were laughing below her. Sonya examined the chain; then she put her finger inside of the tiny lock on the shackle.17
She closed her eyes to push out all of her emotions. A blue light came out of her finger and zapped the lock. She walked over to the closet; grabbed her cape and went to the door. The light came from her hand to pop the bedroom door as it swung open. Slowly she stepped into the room.18
Sonya placed the cape around her shoulders; then opened the other door and quietly closed it. Checking the hallway to see if anyone was there; she dashed off to the other staircase that led to the lobby.19
Once she reached the lobby she slowed down her pace. The room was full with couples making out as loud music came from the bar. Sonya searched for Throne and then walked through the lobby to the main door.20
Her hands pressed on the heavy wooden door. A hand yanked her away as she leaned against the wall. A tall man stood in front of her. Sonya looked at him, his light brown hair played with the light. The gray jacket outlined his strong chest while the silver buttons was reflecting the light. He placed his hand on the wall next to her.21
“What do you want?” she whispered.22
“I need a little help.”23
“I’m not that kind of girl, sir.”24
“Then what are you doing here?”25
“Leaving.” She pushed his arm out of the way.26
He grabbed her again. “I wouldn’t do that. I saw you today at the wagon.”27
Sonya stared into his dark green eyes. “I was there.”28
“Come with me.” He pulled her by the arm and took her outside.29
They walked quickly down the road together as the cool breeze made her sweat evaporated. The moon rose in the sky, its light beamed on them. Out of the corner of her eye something that sparkled from the stranger. She grabbed his weapon, and held it in front of him.30
The weapon was made out of steel, the handle had a slight curve that was easy to grip. Its long narrow nose sparkled, in the moonlight. On top, was a power switch and it was glowing red.31
“That’s impossible,” he said.32
“On this planet nothing is impossible. Now, move into the alley.”33
He stepped into the alley and Sonya was right behind him.34
“Look, I don’t have time for these games.”35
“Funny, me too. Who are you? What do you want?”36
He looked straight into her eyes. “I’m here to save someone and I was told to look for a woman in a green cape.”37
Sonya raised her eye brow. “Who told you?”38
“That’s a long story.”39
“Who are you trying to save?”40
“A little girl.”41
“What does she look like?”42
“She has brown hair.”43
Sonya handed him back his weapon as he just stared at her. “Hey, we are on the same mission.”44
He took his weapon, tucked it in his gray pants. “I’m Jason.” He smiled at her.45
“Sonya.”46
Jason softly grabbed her hand as he searched the road. “Yes, we are on the same mission. Our best chance is to go unnoticed if we act like lovers.”47
“I agree, but we don’t have much time.” Sonya slipped her arm around his arm, next they slowly walked onto the road.48
After walking a couple blocks they reached the wagon. Sonya grasped for her breath to find that half of the children were gone. A warm hand touched hers as she looked into Jason’s eyes.49
“She is still here,” Jason said.50
Sonya looked up as the moon was high in the sky. 51
“There’s not much time left.”52
“Jason, over here,” a voice whispered.53
Jason took Sonya’s hand and led her to the voice that was behind the huge boxes. They duck down to join with the other man. He had light blonde hair and wore a patch over his eye.54
“Everyone is in place.”55
“Good Patch. This is Sonya and she is going to help us.”56
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Patch said.57
“I do.” Jason turned his head to Sonya. “Can you break those chains?”58
“How is a maiden going to break the chains?” Patch snapped.59
“I believed so.” Sonya glanced to see the bright moon.60
“Good. Here’s the plan. Patch and I are going to cover you. I’ve men on the rooftops to cover us. Do you understand?”61
Sonya looked up to the rooftops. “Yes.”62
“Once you break the chains everyone will be beam out.”63
“Beam out?” 64
“Just trust me, Sonya.”65
Sonya let out a huge sigh. “The last man told me that…” She saw their looks on their faces. “Alright.”66
“Let’s go.”67
Jason and Patch rose, placed their hands on their weapons, and Sonya followed right behind them. Two men came into the light; Jason and Patch pulled out their blasters as it discharged the silver rays. The two guards fell on the road while their bodies spasm. More green rays lit up the night, next, silver rays came out of all different directions.68
“Sonya!” Jason yelled.69
“Behind you!”70
They walked closer to the children as their cries and the chains rattled in the distance. Jason and Patch continued blasting at the guards. Her neck began to tingle and she looked at the moon as a red cloud moved in.71
“Jason! We need to get in there now!”72
“We’re trying but they have more firepower!”73
Sonya dashed in front of them as she lifted up her arms.74
“What is this crazy girl doing?!” 75
“Cover her, Patch!” Jason snapped.76
A huge blue light came flying out of her and hit the guards. More silver rays continued to covered them.77
“We give up. You can have the children, if you live!” one of the guards said.78
“What does that mean?” Patch asked.79
“Trouble is coming!” Sonya yelled.80
She walked over to the children to pick up the chain.81
“Help us! Help us!” they cried.82
“That’s why I am here,” she whispered.83
She closed her eyes to push away her emotions. A black claw grabbed her neck as its long nails went into her skin. Sonya grasped for her breath while the nails dug deeper into her skin.84
“These children belong to me!” It roared at her.85
Sonya tightened her gripped on the chain as the blood began to run down her neck. The children screams filled her ears; she opened her eyes as the silver rays disappeared into the blackness.86
“You belong to me, Sonya!” She heard the voice in her head; then she closed her eyes.87
Her hand began to glow blue, the light travel through the chain as the locks popped off. Air began to fill her lungs; she opened her eyes to see that the children had left. Sonya stood up, turned around; Jason held out his hand for her.88
She ran towards him with her hand stuck out. She came closer to the tips of his long fingers, a huge white light engulfed him.89
“No!” he yelled as he departed from her.90
She ran into his spot in the road. “The children are safe, Jason,” Sonya whispered.91
Out in the distance she heard a roar; there was Hugo and Throne coming to her. His strong arm extended for her as Sonya ran towards him. He grabbed and pulled her up onto Hugo.92
“What is going on?” she asked.93
“They’re coming for you. Can you stop them?”94
“No. I was attacked.” She grabbed on the saddle horn. “I’m too tired and that cloud is greater than I am.”95
Throne raised his arms in the air as his skin turned into tiny white crystals. A light engulfed them as they disappeared. Throne returned to normal as Sonya fell into his arms.96
~97
The sunlight hit Sonya’s face and she began to wiggle around next to Hugo. She stood up while the blanket fell to the ground. Her eyes searched for Throne, but he was nowhere. Hugo lifted up his head to look at her.98
The branches moved as Throne appeared in front of her. She let out a huge sigh.99
“Your wake!”100
“I am. Are you all right?”101
“I will be.” He walked over to her.102
“I don’t understand.”103
“I must return to the town.” He paused. “ I can’t take you with me.”104
She wrapped herself in the cape. “I don’t understand and stop with these games.”105
“Do you see that bridge over there?”106
She turned her head to see an old wooden bridge. “I do.”107
“Go across it and you’ll be safe.”108
“You’re not coming?”109
“No, Sonya. The next part of your journey you go alone.”110
“I am finally free!” She turned around and swung her arms.111
“You are.” Throne bent down to pick up the blanket. He folded it up and placed it in the tan bag. “This is for you.”112
Sonya took the bag and placed the long strap over her shoulder. “Thank you, Throne.” She stepped over and gave a quick scratched to Hugo’s ears.113
“Now go!” He ordered.114
Sonya ran to the bridge as it came closer to her, she could taste freedom in her mouth, as her foot stepped on the wooden plank. Freedom echoed in her ears with each step her feet became lighter. She reached the other side, the bridge disappeared, Sonya looked for Throne and Hugo and they were gone.115
“Thank you, Throne and Hugo!” Sonya yelled as she ran into the forest.116

Awww. I really like Jason-better than Throne now. It was also a great read, and I'm glad she was capable of freeing the little girl.

Okay...I find it a bit odd that she can unchain herself, yet she couldn't in the first chapter. It makes the story very weak. As Yoshi suggested, I think, try to get a magic-limiter, and stick to it. She can't just be able to free herself in one chapter then unable to in the next!
Tiger-Lily.
PS: Does the moon affect her powers? If so, you might want to update this in the other chapters -
“Nobody isn’t going to hurt you, and this is for your protection.” P 12 sounds awkward.
Throne walked away from her and went to the door. He walked out of the bedroom as he closed it. P13 these lines could be reworded and combined.
Why all the emotion about not being able to leave if she knew she could 'pop' the lock on the shackles.
Not much description on the little girl who they both were suppose to rescue. Why does Sonya suddenly trust Jason. I'd have put more suspision (sp?) in there.
That's about all I could find so far.
Dialog seems believeable.
