Michelangelo ...

Michelangelo ....1

This god like figurine, proudly winged
Sits aside a flight of marble.
Deep in protection,
minding the people
Longing to be marvelled
and worship by all.4

He masquerades
with
Shoulders erected tall
and his poised face
outlined from the sizzling
hot shining sun.5

Villagers say their Michelangelo performs
miracles, vindicates all prayers. 6

Take to your knees
Place on to him with heart-felt respect,
your hands. Let go of what haunts
and ask only for what
is truly needed.7

He sits
waits
then performs the impossible.
Asking only the knowledge
of him, not escape from the town
and faith deep inside
is always kept.

This was one a struggle for me, to be inspired by a picture at first, I found hard. But then a line came, then another etc etc

I was happy with the end product, I am a lover of putting in as much imagery as I can

Thanks for the freakin awesome comment gj
