Long before the dawn of time1
when even Eden was a dream2
there lived a band of fairy folk3
in a hidden valley by a stream4
days were spent in an endless June5
with flowers as tall as trees6
riding cross the fair countryside7
on flying steeds called honey bees8
love seemed to fill the very air9
its scent blew on the breeze10
like a whisper of lost promises11
as it gently moved the leaves12
the king he had a summer smile13
that could ward away the cold14
the queen was such a comely lass15
or so I have been told16
If I could be revisit that place17
that lost and dreamy land18
faraway from the troubled world19
I think you can understand20
a fairy prince leads a simple life21
no great decisions must he make22
the time he spends in his land23
and of the love that he partakes24
somehow we lose the vision now25
and we are forced to grow26
and leave the lands of fairy dreams27
and we lose what a child knows28
but sometimes on a summers eve29
we can still see the fairy dance30
in there lost and hidden valley31
where only dreams are perchance32
so hold on tight to your dream33
for the fairy truth be known34
and one day perhaps you'll go35
back to that fairy home36
