Rose Petals Ch.3

"Kurama...hey, you alright?" Yuuske said seeing her beginning to come around. 1

"Mmm...I don't know. being turned into a girl and a little less than a month finding out about having a baby was a bit of a shock to me." She replied holding her head.2

"So...uh who's the dad?" Kuwabara asked suddenly as Kurama frowned looking away. 3

"I'm sorry I can't tell you that." She said as Yuuske helped her stand and she went into the kitchen.4

It wasn't like she didn't know who the father was, she knew Hiei was the father of her child, sad thing though was she didn't have to tell him the good news either. Not that she didn't mind letting Hiei find out, she just wanted to be traditional and do the whole sit down with her partner and beat around th bush playing her little games until she came out with the words, darling I'm pregnant. Now she couldn't do that...on the other hand they still didn't  know the baby's gender; for that matter how many were in her belly. Since Hiei was part Koormine Kurama knew that he would probably be in for twins, and kitsune's tended to have around a litter of anywhere from two to around three or four, though most of the kits didn't make it through the first few months of their lives because of how dangerous the Makai was, they were here in Nigenkai so Kurama felt he and the babies however many there may be in his belly should be safe.5

Looking at herself in the mirror Kurama lifted her shirt looking at her belly, still seeing the flatness, depending on the number of kits she was to be carrying her belly would either be normal if she was carrying just one child or larger for two or three. After examining herself for a bit longer she sat down and started to go over a list of things, what the babies would need in the on coming months, what her food diet should consist of, lots of healthy stuff not a lot of junk food, and of course plenty of water. She would also need baby clothes, cribs, diapers, toys, plenty of pacifiers, so much to do in nine months, and half of that was winter break, the remainder of her pregnancy would be while school was going on.6

"School...damn." She said rushing to her calender and figuring out the weeks of her pregnancy. Great her due date was around the time of exams, right in the middle of a long week of exams and tests, followed by the autumn festival, gods she hoped she wouldn't go into labor that week, she knew it was bad for babies to be early, but she hoped the would come early and still be healthy.7

"God if it isn't one thing its another." She said softly as she brought her hands to her face and cried. 8

Hiei watched from outside Kurama's room seeing her mood go from calm, to nervous, to panicked to a near break down state. No way in hell was he going to leave Kurama alone now, not with her being with children now, he'd stay with her through her time of need, even if it did mean spending nine months in this god forsaken Nigenkai with the idiots. If it kept Kurama happy, alive and well then he'd stay. As for the matter of the babies,he only felt one for sure, and three more faint ones, whether those three faint ones made it past the first gestation was gonna be up to them, but he was sure at least one of them would live, if the other three lived there was no doubt in his mind that two of them would be twins, from what he knew it would either be two identical girls or in his and Yukina's case a Girl and a boy, fraternal twins, two identical boys was out of the question since even that was unheard of to his species of demon.9

"You can stop hiding Hiei, come on in." Kurama said looking at her door.10

Hiei gave a short Hn, his normal reply to much everything if it wasn't an insult to the idiots it was the Hn or a smart ass remark. That was just Hiei. It annoyed the hell out of Yuuske and Kuwabara but Kurama knew he meant well, that was just Hiei's way, and so far only Kurama knew Hiei well enough to the point where she could almost predict what he was going to say. It was going to be a long...long road ahead for both Kurama and Hiei, and she hoped dearly and prayed to whatever god was out there, that it would be a safe road. 11

After saying goodbye to Yuuske and the others Kurama walked back into her room feeling a slight twinge in her head. Yoko was awake, and from the tone of his voice hadn't been affected by the demonic needles. She had figured he wouldn't have been since the two were two separate entities but she was sure there were some side effects that had affected her demonic kitsune half. She'd have to worry about that later, right now she was dead tired from the days events and lay on her bed going to sleep for the night.12

Hiei had stopped by during the night and sat in his usual spot outside in the tree by Kurama's window as he noticed a few strands of silver hair and a worried look crossed his normally smug face. What was Yoko doing out? For that matter how did he get out? He knew for a fact that Kurama hadn't kept that juice that allowed him to transform, so how the hell did Yoko get out. Jumping on the window sill he tapped on it lightly seeing the figure inside turn around as cold golden eyes looked upon Hiei and a toothy grin crossed the features of the bandit king as he walked to the window and opened it. 13

"Hiei what a pleas-
"What are you doing out?" Hiei interrupted "For that matter how did you get out?" He asked.14

"Simple, Shuichi seemed to be exhausted, and with his mind not keeping thoughts of transforming in it, I was able to transform...though it won't be for long." He said smiling at Hiei.15

"Hn...Sorry but I'd hate to deal with two pregnant people in one body." He said as Yoko pressed his lips to Hiei and slowly broke away. 16

"Last time I checked I'm quite male, so I won't wind up in my other half's position, you on the other hand being half female have a chance of carrying children." He said as Hiei kissed him to shut him up. 17

"You talk to much fox." He said as the two embraced falling on the bed. 18

"And you talk to little." Yoko said kissing Hiei as the two began to undress each other, sharing a long forgotten night of pleasure and ectasy the way it was meant to be felt by demons.19

When morning arrived Kurama woke up now back in her normal form as she moaned sitting up feeling an addition to the bed as she looked over seeing Hiei lightly snoring beside her. 20

"Hmm." She said and blinked as she brought a hand to her mouth. 21

"Yoko you didn't." She said.22

I did. The Kitsune replied in her mind. And it was the best sex i've felt in three thousand years.23

Kurama felt sick at the thought of what the two had been doing while she was asleep. Speaking of sickness, her daily bouts of nausea were coming back again as she rushed to the bathroom puking up what ever was in her stomach from a few or so hours ago.24

Hiei came in a while later having heard her as he pulled her long red locks back holding her hair as she went through her bouts of morning sickness, until she flushed the toilet and brought her knees to her chest laying her head on her folded arms as a choked sob escaped her mouth a while later and she cried burying her face in her arms.25

Hiei not knowing what to do got a washcloth and wet it wringing it out and placed it on the back of her neck and sat down beside her not saying anything as he stretched one leg out and lay his arm on the one against his chest while Kurama cried. 26

"You know Hiei.." Kurama said through a few sniffles.
"Hmm?" Hiei asked.
"Most people would console their partner seeing them in a mood like this." Kurama said.
"I'm not most people." Hiei added.
"Jerk." Kurama muttered. 27

"Dumb fox." Hiei said back as the two looked at each other laughing after a while as Kurama stretched out laying her head on Hiei's shoulders. 28

Hiei looked at Kurama giving her that your in my space, move your head look. Kurama in turn ignored his glare and kept her head where it was. Because Hiei was a fire demon, heat all but radiated of the smaller demons skin, which made for a very good stress reliever as well as headache pains, though she wasn't experiencing none of them at the moment she just wanted to lie on her partner and have a tender moment with him.29

"Don't get to comfortable there." Hiei said after a while llooking over seeing Kurama had fallen asleep again as a small smile crossed his lips and he moved Kurama's hair from her eyes letting her sleep.

It was entertaining to read - I was slightly confused at some points, but that's probably because I only read part of the second chapter. More description could probably be added about the surroundings, since I have no idea where the characters are in some parts. The characterization was ok, and you have an interesting plot going.

That said, there are some grammar mistakes.

When someone speaks, as in this sentence:
'"I'm sorry I can't tell you that." She said as Yuuske helped her stand and she went into the kitchen,' there should be a comma instead of a period in the quotation marks, since she said... is part of the same sentence.

You missed a few commas/had run-on sentences here and there, which slightly interrupted the flow of the story. They're probably easily fixed if you read it to yourself.

From what I read from the first chapter, I think this series is improving as you write.
