Growing Up

Twisting spirals, paths in life,1

Which to take, where to go?2

Ups and downs, twists and turns,3

New responsibilities, old habits that won’t fade4

Feeling torn, crumbling under it all,5

And my life is just beginning6

Honing skills, finding new ones,7

Ending relationships and some just starting8

All these things are part of life,9

But I wasn’t prepared for all the change10

It’s time to grow up finally,11

But am I ready?12

Doubts and worries are all I see,13

Sometimes I wish I could go back to care free14

Growing up and moving on15

Eventually I’ll find where I belong16

Your poem reminds me that life is one big circle. Where everything begins only to end into a new begining.

~There are only a few paths one can take, so might as well make the best of it~

    Nice

Reading your poem gives me the vision of you being a caterpillar, going through the process of becoming a beautiful butterfly. The whrilwind of emotions as you change from the familiarity of what you were into the unknown glory of your maturity.
Clinging to the security of your cocoon, you feel the wind in you wings as it calls to you to take flight.
    Spread your wings and fly!
