At My Window

At My Window, By Chaz D. Wolf1

I hear it pattering at my window,2

I hear its footsteps, light and sweet,3

I hear it stirring, stewing at my window,4

Begging, pleading to be let in…5

I hear it howling by my window,6

Bickering as it often does,7

I hear it’s moaning and it’s groaning, 8

Begging, pleading to be let in…9

I know it creeps past my window,10

Shifting incessantly, changing always in the twilight,11

It moves and swirls past my window,12

Begging, pleading to be let in…13

I hear it falling outside my window,14

Soft and white, cold and clean,15

It piles high in banks and drifts outside my window,16

Begging, pleading to be let in…17

Ah, the question unanswered,18

The thing of many names, times, and places,19

Yes, it is a question indeed,20

What is It; at, by, past, outside my window?21

Weather that will be answered is for me to know.22

Beautiful imagery. This is a very well done poem. Good job, and good luck in the contest with this. I did notice, however, that the comma after "weather" seems misplaced. Grammatically it shouldn't be there, and poems still follow basic grammar and punctuation guidelines. But good job still.
