One day...

“I will be... a flight attendant! I will make it to the top! First class, international! ”1

That was her dream, her life’s goal… to become a flight attendant. It’s not that glamorous people kept telling her, I know was her only answer. And she did know. She knew it was not going to be that easy. In fact she was expecting the worst! She had thought what would happen if the worst case scenario was to come true she was prepared. Nothing was going to stop her.
“This is my dream. That’s what I want to do with my life. Fly….”
The funny thing about her was that all the things people kept talking about as negative she found fascinating. All the travelling, waking up in a different city, in a different country if possible, every day, was her dream. She loved to make others comfortable. She longed to wear her uniform, board the airplane and fly to her dreams…2

Today was a very special day for her. Today was her first day as a flight attendant. She had quit her studies, despite her parents arguing that she was making the biggest mistake in her life, and after applying for the position she went for the interview. She was stunning that day, so confident; she knew she could do it (when you want something this bad you let nothing get in the way). And she was so charming; you could see it in her eyes, those deep brown eyes, how much she wanted it, how much she was ready to work in order to get it. How could the interviewers let her go home?
So here she was today, putting on her nice blue uniform (she looked so beautiful, so happy). Her smile was so bright, she was so excited, so happy, so determined not to let this opportunity slip. How could someone want something this bad?!3

As she arrived at the airport her heart was beating fast. This is it; she said to herself, this is all you ever dreamt of. Walking through the crowd she could see how everyone looked at her in amazement. She was happy and it showed.4

Then suddenly a thunder in the middle of the bright day… Wait, it was not a bright day; it was just a rainy night. And she was not at the airport but at her bed, not wearing that beautiful uniform but her pajamas. It was just a dream… Just another one of those dreams. But one day she will wake up and it won’t be a dream. And she won’t be in her bed but at a hotel room, and there beside her will be her blue uniform…

Your descriptions are well done, your writing doesn't include many (if any) errors. I may have been hoping for just a bit more creativity in my contest. Thank you for your entry!

Thank you for your kind words. I suppose it is not as creative as some of the other entries but in my defence I've only just started writing This story is more like a journal entry for me, so I couldn't really use my imagination. The thoughts just poured out of me...
Thank you for your tip, however.

      Take care,
