Deja Vu - Chapter 4 INCOMPLETE

Nicole regained conciousness on a moldy, moth-eaten bed in a dark room. Her head was spinning. Why wasn't she at Eeylop's Owl Emporium, laughing at herself? She sat up and dust clouded the air. She rubbed at her aching head and slid out of the nasty bed.1

She walked out of the room, her bare feet leaving tracks on the dusty floor. The door creaked as she opened it, and she walked out into the narrow corridor. Her stomach heaved as she saw ugly shrunken heads of what looked like house-elves displayed in cracked glass jars. "What is this place?" She whispered to herself. 2

The stairs were rotted and falling apart, so she had to skip a few steps as not to fall in. She saw some light coming from a nearby room, so she tiptoed along to investigate. What she saw made her back away in horror.3

A man was standing in the dimly lit kitchen and staring at her, a ragged man with straggly hair, a man who had stared at her almost every day when reading the Daily Prophet.4

"SIRIUS BL -" Nicole started, but a strong hand clapped onto her face before she could finish. The man stepped forward, smiling, with his arms open. "Nicole," he said.5

Nicole shoved the hand off of her mouth. "HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?" she screamed to Sirius Black.6

"I've known your name for many years," he replied calmly. Nicole's scream was blocked out by the hand once more. "Do not move," boomed Kingsley Shacklebolt's voice from behind her. 7

Nicole slipped from Kingsley's arms and took advantage of the moment to yell, "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" Suddenly, Dumbledore materialized next to Black. 8

"PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE! THAT'S SIRIUS BLACK! GET HIM! GET HIM!" Nicole hollered. "IT'S HIM, PROFESSOR, I KNOW IT IS, HE'S -" and Kingsley's huge hand blocked out the rest. "I am aware of who this man is," he said. 9

"WELL, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR THEN, HE'S RIGHT THERE, WHAT'S WRONG WITH Y -" and then four other people appeared one-by-one beside the two men: Arthur Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, and Mad-Eye Moody. "Sorry we're late," breathed Arthur. "Nasty biting toilet. Unavoidable."10

Nicole couldn't believe this. Here were four people assoiciated with the Ministry, two of them Aurors, and they were acting casually around the most outlawed and wanted criminal in the wizarding world! How could - what - wh - black.
