Love Lessons

It didn't matter how poor his English was, I could always understand what Hideto would express to me. Whether it was through hand gestures or facial expressions, the English-Japanese barrier was non-existant. Hideto would speak to me in his elegant native tongue as if I could understand, but the look in his deep eyes would always give away what he was trying to say. We would spend countless nights in my dim room, teaching eachother our languages. He would stutter slowly as he read simple English sentences and I the same whenever I read Japanese. In our hearts, we truly knew that this was unecessary, because even though we did not know eachother's spoken languages, we knew one thing: We were in love with one another, and that it could conquer anything, even this barrier.
