Guiding Stars

There was a time, not long ago, when one could look into the skies and see the stars. The stars shown brightly in the night, nothing to impede their tremendous color. Then humans slowly grew more and more afraid of the night, thinking that monsters lurked in the dark. Lights were put up, all around and everywhere to keep the darkness at bay... and sadly the stars at bay as well.1

Mankind didn't understand exactly what this did, until it was too late. Without the stars to guide us, the world fell to corruption, ignorance and misdirection. Eventually the stars disappeared completely and without a guide, the countries began to turn wild on eachother. Unleashing their pent up weapons that wanted released for years to come. At least when its all over the lights will be gone and the stars will come again.
