I woke up with and sat up in bed quickly. I took in my unfamilar surroundings and realized I was not in my house. The events that took place last name immediately came back to me. Tears came to eyes. I still couldn't believe Mickey was gone. But right now, I needed to get out of this strange man's house. Sure he seemed nice enough and he was definitely handsome but my grandma always warned me against the strong silent types.1
I got out of bed and pulled on a track suit with my favorite running shoes. Last night the odds were against me due to my stiletto boots but today was different. I figured I would leave my clothes here because I could always get new ones. I grabbed the most important items; my cell phone, my maybelline lip gloss, my money and my mase. What, I need to protect myself.2
I decided to climb out of the window. I was about three stories up but thank God for the vines on the walls. I jumped down and ran for dear life. My plan worked, I had escaped! So while I'm running away for dear life I feel myself hit something and then fall. I'm thinking to myself, where did that brick wall come from?3
I look up and who do you think I see? Tony. He shook his head at me while trying to help me up. I tried to scramble away from him, but he had another guy with him, he was about 300 pounds of muscle. So I did what anybody in my situation would do, I maced him. The big guy, not Tony. The big guy screamed. Tony picked me up and took me back in the house.4
"Please let me go," I pleaded as I was thrown not so gracefully on the couch.5
"Look girl, you are in danger and you have to stay here. I made a promise I am going to keep, you got it." Tony said talking in a patient voice.6
"Fine, I'll stay but I need a little bit more detail on what's going on," I said. 7
"Trust me, you are better off not knowing."
