Dear God, 1
People trust in you because they don’t want to think for themselves. Or they’re ignorantly blind and what they were first taught is all they want believe in, like it’s right. If anything is right. They want to pledge allegiance just so they can feel like they’re doing something for the “greater good” of this place. They believe in you because they don’t want to think about there being no life after death, no heaven. And without heaven there is no hell. They want justice of all the wrongdoers. They want justice among the rapist, murderers, and criminals. They don’t just want their bodies to rot in the earth; they want them to suffer in hell for what they’ve done. When everything seems to be turning for the worse and everything’s a mess they turn to you. They pray for a miracle. When somebody does something unexplainable they praise the Lord Almighty that he granted their prayers. Who says it wasn’t just coincidence, or yeah, maybe a miracle. Or perhaps, there’s another force such as fate that has a plan for all of us. Fate, that which can possibly control life and death. Maybe everything is in such a tightly spun web that we can’t even begin to decipher it. And to make ourselves feel better we say your name as the cause of it all. When we don’t understand we claim it to be you. You and your doing.2

I agree somewhat.... I mean...you have a very valid point...and I know of one religion that well you have to think about the world to follow it, and it also shows that fate determines a lot of what happens to us...this is my religion, I am wiccan and if you would like more information or just to talk message me and for the record I'm not trying to convert anyone I hate it when people do that to me, and I won't do it to anyone else.anyway just thought I would put that out there
*Blessed Be*

I have similar thoughts very often...religion is truly a childish superstition. (So says Albert Einstein.) It's mostly a fancy way of saying "I'm scared of the dark".
I find myself wishing you'd paid more attention to structure and flow, though. =/
Also, I spot a typo! (Rapist, singular when it should be plural.) -

lol yes, i wrote this a long long time ago...i was very sloppy then, still am..lol
have a hard enough time just getting my thoughts down :] -

Thoughts are confusing, right enough.

I have many of these same thoughts myself. I'm a Christian, but people make up their own version of God, and mine isn't the sort that condemns people to eternal torture in some fiery dungeon. My god doesn't condemn people for being different, though a lot of people do and say God told them to. In my own view, bad people simply won't exist in the new Jerusalem, or anywhere else. But, people who are profoundly good will have a place with God, no matter who or what they are. You make a person think with this piece. It almost sounds like a prayer, from the beginning throughout, or as though you're having a conversation with God.

I love the second to last sentence. That's how I feel too. It's like, just because we don't have an explanation for something, doesn't mean that's it's superbeing forces or whatever. Liked the short write.
