Was It You?

Dearest,1

I dreamt you came to me as I slept. You sat down by my fatigued body -- barely covered by the thin blanket that was drapped over me. The moonlight shone softly on your face and on my skin as you accidental grazed my arm. I made a slight noise in response and my mouth formed a genuinely happy smile. Your eyes focused on me as I slept peacefully...and after a few moments, your lips touched mine. Not a second had passed when you realized your kiss was being returned. My eyelids lifted and I held you as to keep you from vanishing in case you were my imagination. We stopped time and stretched it into an infinity. I knew you felt every quiver, heartbeat and gentle gasp. In a bitter sweat, I woke in my reality -- with no fortification -- no sign you had been with me. I felt nothing except the sway of the breeze from my open window which I had closed before going to bed...2

    very very nice, totally vivid. i was right there
    really really awesome though, i know all too well the feeling of waking from a nice dream... even if this was "just a story"

    Im soooo alone, ahhh, I had a dream kinda like that last night, expect no one kissed me, and it wasnt really a guy, more like me back at olentangy seeing you guys again, so really it was nothing like what you wrote... forget i said that DAMMIT... i feel my self esteem lower at this very moment, oh the lack of love and my lonliness! but GREAT write, really liked it!!! you amazing writer you!

    Just like it came from the pages of my book I just finished, "Tithe" its a very good book, you should read it if you haven't...It's one of those can't put me down books like Sweep, Daughter of the Moon, it was very good
