Journal Entry of Hieronymous Pontifex Erastus

Today I make an entry in this journal, one I regret to write of. A heavy sigh follows what I have to say. As well as the weighted burden that it causes me.1

Recently, on May 5th .......I was given various reports of the occult weaving their devilish magic’s to bring forth a greater hell in the physical world.2

Believe me when I tell you that this is no trifle situation. Demons when summoned on May 5th grope for more to feed themselves with. So much more than your common or lesser demon. That any a low fool occult leader summons to do a small task. These demons are going to go rampant in all parts of Calsaiya until they have had their fill of what it is they desire.3

Annona was brave enough to scout out a location near the capital. She reported back that they had indeed summoned a very powerful being. If many of these powerful demons were summoned in the five cities of the east, then there is much more on our hands than I can begin to prepare for.4

So much was lost to us in the last battle with Lucifer and his servants from Hell. Now he comes back, double fold in power and not even harmed. He mocks us greatly with his casual tone in rebirthing his forces in our lands. I do not know what I shall do in course of action to remedy the great number of demons being birthed into Calsaiya. 5

An attempt to reunite the three mediums must be made. Yet I linger to send the word to do so, only because I fear that if any word gets out that they are to be reunited......the demons will find out easily and smother our efforts into nothingness. As the head of the Ordinatius Sanctus I must appear in control, but how am I to appear in control when I have none such in my grasp? Somehow I must begin infiltrating these demon hell holes with my own forces of the Sanctus. There is no other way that I can see possible if I do not send action out now.6

Perhaps if I set two goals, a false and a true.......that might buy a little time to collect the mediums. Again I sigh at this thought. Demons are smart creatures and very clever. Outsmarting a demon is next to near impossible I must say. Though it has been done! But ah, that was the past yet again, and those that managed the near impossible sacrificed ones self to give us holy grasp in Calsaiya. Now what shall we do?7

All that I can and will do is to send what I have at this moment, and that is aiding Omo Yumigata Shikyos into all the villages, doubling the Shikyos in the five eastern cities. They will be able to put up warding barriers as well as cleanse anything tainted that has been over looked for these years after the ancient war. I begin to fear that is a great cause of the many surviving occult. We were unable to rid ourselves of them completely, the old survive and pass on their dark gifts, not to be confused with that of the Vampires legacy mind you---I have many of the Vampiric race aiding me in my holy conquest to rid Calsaiya of the demon oppressors.8

I digress. But I must stress my words in this journal. It is the hugest importance that control be established. Right now, there is no leash on any of them. And that is costing us. Occult are raising their forces and we sit here doing naught to halt their progress.9

Annona will beg me not to send out Sanctus forces and holy warriors in a high fashion. She will greatly oppose visible signs of our worry. Though, what is one to do? Pretend to feel no fear of a force that threatens us so greatly? Sometimes I do not understand where Annona comes from. She holds back actions that might prove useful and insightful to positioning us where we possibly need to be. Yet ah, I do see what she sees. Annona warns me of the possibilities that attacking our threat too soon will cause massive panic and containing the situation more difficult than caring for it in silence.10

But what would anyone have me do? I myself feel that actions are necessary now that May 5th has passed us through, it is now May 6th and demon activity will be strikingly high and thick. 11

We’re in trouble if we do not act, that is why tomorrow I shall send my holy warriors and the Omo Yumigata Shikyo to enforce what slack has been gathered. These demons and their occult will know our presence; we are not dead as they may think. We do not pretend that we are not bothered by their existence. They will feel us prickling right back at what they have ignored as dormant.12
