Chapter Six: Luke Inui1
Yuffie sat there, watching as a large group of boys finshed their play fights.2
"Winner! Team Kiko!"3
A boy and his team cheered. Yuffie stood up as the others congradulated him.4
"Okay, who wants to go again?"5
Everyone rasied their hand, even Yuffie. The kids grew silent when they noticed Yuffie.6
"Can I play?" asked Yuffie. A boy came forward.7
"No way."8
"How come?"9
"You're a girl, that's why. Why don't you go home and sew like the rest?"10
"Because I hate sewing. And I want to play with you."11
"It wouldn't be fair," yelled a boy in the back of the group, "Which ever team she goes on will lose!"12
A boy walked up to the head boy. He was around eight, with spikey blonde hair and yellow eyes, wearing jean shorts and a tan shirt.13
"Let her play. She just wants to have a little fun..." he said, the the head boy ignored him.14
"No. Girls can't play War. Period."15
Yuffie bowed her head and walked off, the boy who stood up for her looking sadly after her. Yuffie sat under a tree, far away from the boys. Yuffie looked up at the partly-cloudy sky, and laid on the cool grass to gaze at it.16
"So I want to play War," thought Yuffie, "Big deal. It's just a game. But I wonder what they'll think when I start learning magic..."17
"Hey, that's my special spot. Can you move?"18
Yuffie sat up. The boy who stood up for Yuffie was standing there, looking down at her. Yuffie stood up.19
"I'm sorry." she said, bowing quickly. Then she turned and walked away.20
"Hey, wait!"21
Yuffie turned around. The boy looked confused.22
"I said move, not walk away!" he called. Yuffie walked back to the boy as he laid in his spot.23
"Why are you not playing with those boys?" asked Yuffie. The boy shrugged.24
"They're a bunch of jackasses, that's why."25
Yuffie smiled.26
"I heard what you did to James..."27
Yuffie froze. He sat up and gave Yuffie a thumbs up.28
"Good job. That guy needed a good threatning. He's a real jerk."29
Yuffie was stunned for a moment. Then she laughed as the boy laid back down.30
"I got detention for carrying the kunai to school, but it was worth it."31
"Why did you have a kunai at school?" asked the boy. Yuffie smiled mischiviously, and slowly drew her kunai out of her pocket.32
"I carry one everywhere I go, in case I ever need it."33
He smiled as Yuffie put it back in her pocket.34
"Good idea...Hey, why don't you lie down? You can't see the clouds very well sitting and cranning your neck like that."35
Yuffie nodded and laid down beside the boy. The wind blew softly, ruffling the leaves of the tree.36
"So...What's your name anyway? I'm Luke Inui."37
"Yuffie Von Hellson."38
"Well Yuffie, I think we're gonna be good friends." said Luke, a large grin on his face. Yuffie smiled.

Zeus, as you can tell, is very old-fasioned...

Wow, thanks for the comment! Zeus is a world I have dreamed about for quite awhile now. It's planet filled to the brim with Demons, Vampires, and any other creatures you can dream up. Yuffie is my RPG character, and I sort have become obcessed with her. As for magic, later on she can use Darkness and Fire. Read more to find out about the twists and turns of Yuffie's tale!

Well Written!
It was easy to get into the characters. So this is part of a larger work? It seems that it is going well. Yuffie made a friend, but can't play war. Too bad. What kind of magic can she do? Who is Zeus? Thanks for entering my contest.
