Dory winced as the school bully, Leslie, gave her that look - the I'm-blaming-you-for-this look that she often gave to her victims. Someone had thrown cottage cheese at Leslie, which had splattered over her loose black overalls. Leslie stomped over to Dory in her tightly laced black combat boots, and stuck her pudgy finger in front of her face. 1
"You listen Stuckerman, one more offense and it's over for you. Consider yourself warned." and Leslie and her crew of bullies trudged away. 2
"Sheesh, Leslie needs to get a grip." said Angela, Dory's black haired-blue eyed best friend. 3
"Yeah, what is up with her?" Dory replied. Dorothy Alexis Stuckerman, age 13, brown hair-grey eyes, was very gullible. One time in the 5th grade, Leslie told Dory that the principal wanted to meet her in the middle of the field. When she got out there, they turned the sprinklers on. 4
"Oh my gosh! It's 9:32! WE'RE LATE FOR MATH CLASS!!!" cried Angela. And they sped down the hall just before Mrs. Trafinski closed the door. Enter Mrs. Trafinski, age ??, gray-black hair, beady brown eyes, exceedingly mean. 5
"Well well well, Ms. Stuckerman and Ms. Landry, you just barely made it on time for class. It would have been a shame if you had arrived late and had to spend the afternoon in DETENTION. Hey, that doesn't sound so bad... Alright, detention for you two!"6
"But Mrs. Trafins-"7
"Take your seats ladies!!!" she bellowed. 8
Ugh, this was going to be a hard week.
