The Simplicity of Nature

I was a friend, as I am now. A companion to walk through life with. We only heard the simplest of noises, the running of water, the birds chirping, and the squirrels running about the woods. Our clothes proved the autumn chill, a simple sweater and a basic pair of jeans, also including a light scarf. We ate of only the stars about to rise and shine in their twinkling capacity. I wanted nothing but companionship at that moment, just to talk about the horrors of our lives, to try to escape the hideous world around us, if only for a brief moment. We were not hiding, just merely running from everything around us. As if the trees and people were listening to our every word and frustration. The only people were us. Only our words floated through the air like a light autumn scent. Our destination was the crisp pond. The dead one were there lived only frogs and some water insects and weeds.1

My friend 'Lady Calin' is currently reading a book with things and questions to fill out. She sent me an e~mail of some of those questions and here is what I got.

I enjoyed this! Very nicely done! This is how my friend and I spend our time..we especially love sitting and talking by the pond, hoping to hear the frog that lives there croaking his strange sound as the street lights go on and the crickets' chirping gets louder and louder.
