Park Raids-5

The apartment I live in. Well. I could do better, much, much better. I just choose not to draw any suspicions. It really is quite irritating when one of my kind goes out and buys a big house, shiny sports car, and top fashion clothing. Let the economy keep that for the over paid humans of the media screens. My kind live through many years of history. Collecting money from cover jobs, e-bay serves its purpose when we want to bargain something worth value we've kept through the ages. Family heirloom we say. Yes, money is never a problem for a vampire. 1

Ahh, so for today's little adventures, I decided to hang around the park. Of course, at night. You know, when the homeless people come out to play. Don't get me wrong, some homeless people are nice, and are just stick in a rut. I don't kill those, but there are those that like to steal from their own. Sure, so I kill my own kind, but one homeless killing another homeless....that's just wrong. So those are the ones I do kill. Those are the ones who are out tonight. Those are the ones...about to die. 2

And then, there he was. Holding some scrawny looking guy by the scuff of his tatterd coat. The bully of the homeless. The intimidater, the dead. I hide like sleep on a bench. A blood lust induced coma, sleeping in a black coat of raven eyes. He's going to die. I turn my head to the side, watching him torment this little human for his valuables. I watch hidden under my hood, through the chipped paint of the wooden slats holding me up. 3

He moves about the others, holding his arms wide daring all to step forth who wish him dead, and as his back face them, and his face, me. I strike. Quickly, pushing off the earth with my feet. Jumping, twirling and landing on his shoulders only to hunch over and go for the throat. their eyes have now caught up with me now that I've stopped. That is when they ran... 4
