Line I

A crisp autumn day 1

(connotation)2

That of chilly winds, enough3

To provoke shivers but4

Not enough to depress.5

Gather, happy humans, and drink!6

Speak of the beauty and of the happiness!7

Cheer for the games of amusing brutality, 8

Those ones aided by lined grounds and flying skins!9

Watch the neighbours rake in the strewn color,10

And hear children cheerfully demolish that labor!11

The squeals of delight are 12

Such, delightful, 13

Are they not?14

But all for not15

For all. 16

For what is fall, autumn?17

Really, 18

A senseless spinning,19

Side effect of the ever-turning, -spinning.20

Her endless trek around the sun,21

Sun's endless trek away from center. 22

And a biological process, the crunching leaves,23

Designed to preserve energy: an ugly24

Death for to live.25

Filled with that death, such 26

Melancholy color, are wasteful bags.27

They form piles of trash,28

Heaps of muck that pollute the earth.29

And the smell of autumn?30

A smell of decay,31

Of death and rotting matter.32

A smell of sweat, of human stench,33

As a few practiced players wrestle for 34

seven points, 35

And the rest, fans, 36

Watch the violence.37

A smell of slaughtered fowl, 38

Stuffed and paraded to grumbling innards and watering mouths,39

Clap, masses, clap! 40

Your gaping hunger, imagined hunger,41

Will be sequestered!42

Your yearning stomachs filled to bursting!43

Filled, until it seems you, 44

Yourself,45

Are the turkey,46

Laying fat and lazy47

On a platter, 48

Observing, 49

In your platitude,50

Senseless, mindless thanks 51

To the giving that52

Slaughtered, also.53

At the first sign of fall,54

First colored leaf,55

First chilly wind, 56

First child's playful yell as 57

Piles of death are scattered,58

We do 59

What?60

Put on jackets and observe?61

Such is life, 62

We fall and we crumble and we die on the ground63

And spectators, fans, exclaim,64

"How beautiful." 65

This is like WOW AMAZING. Its so opinionated and full of great vocabulary. Its also very true. how funny I find it that the world is covered in fake beauty. It is truely guilded. It seems beautiful on the outside but on the inside made of cheep material. Your poem explained this very well. Great job on this friend. When this is over I would like to read more of your work. Just remind me =)
