The Dimension Amulets

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anyone in this story but myself, 'cause owning people is slavery and saying that you own someone else's characters is called "copyright infringement". Well, we've learned a lesson today, haven't we, kiddies? I leave all characters to their respective owners, (So far, Butch Hartman, J. K. Rowling, and Disney.) and not me. Yep, that should do it. See? It's worth reading my work once you get past the idiotic randomness.1

Chapter 1: The Beginnings Of An Adventure3

"Meh," Kellie said. "I'm bored."4

"Well, let's go on an adventure!!" Ally exclaimed, stopping her Mission Impossible rolls, jumping up, and striking a 'heroic' pose.5

"An adventure to where?" Hope asked. "There's no place to go on an adventure to! It's raining and we're stuck inside!"6

"There's ALWAYS a place to go on an adventure!" Ally said.7

"Let's go into the attic," Kellie suggested. "It's pretty crowded up there. . . and really big. We can have some fun looking around."8

"TO THE ATTIC!" Ally shouted.9

A few minutes later, they were in the attic.10

"Ugh," Hope said, looking around. "It's dusty up here. But look at all of the stuff!" She then picked up an amulet from a box. It was on a gold chain, with a large red jewel hanging off of it. "What's this? There's more in here, too."11

Ally and Kellie went over to look in the box.12

"Oh!" Kellie exclaimed, picking up an amulet with a green jewel hanging off of it. "This looks JUST like the Cursed Amulet of Aragon from the episodes 'Parental Bonding' and 'Beauty Marked'!!"13

Hope gave Ally a confused look, and Ally said, "She randomly rattles off Danny Phantom trivia. Elementary, my dear Watson!"14

"Oh," Hope replied. "Like how you randomly rattle off Harry Potter trivia?"15

"Exactly," Ally said. She took the red one off of Hope. "I like the red one. It reminds me of Gryffindor - brave at heart!"16

"The purple is pretty." Hope said, pulling it out of the box. It glimmered in the dim light, sparkling a lovely blue-violet color.17

All at once, the three friends tried on the necklaces. . .18

Then something strange happened. They all disappeared from the attic.19

"Where the heck am I?!" Kellie wondered aloud. Her voice was panicked. The amulet was still hanging from her neck, glinting a light emerald, but it seemed. . . different. She seemed different herself.20

She was standing in the midst of a street. The buildings around her were made of brick - obviously Brooklyn-styled houses. "This is a rather strange place," Kellie muttered, "But it seems normal. Does that even make sense?"21

She looked around, exasperated, and realized something. Colors too bright for her world, the vivid images, lines seemed to be around everything - she was in a cartoon.22

Hope found herself on a ship. Confused as to what just happened, she looked about. The ship was rather large, and the black sails added to the magnificence.23

She looked down. The amulet was still there, though she was wearing a dress from a time period long passed. Her short, straight light brown hair was curled and pinned in an elaborate style on the back of her head. She was just glad that she wasn't wearing a corset like Elizabeth had to in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.24

"Where am I??? How did I get here??" she asked herself breathlessly.25

"Why," a voice called, "You're on the Black Pearl!"26

"Oh. . my. . God. ." Hope said, pronouncing each and every syllable with shock and surprise. Her eyes were wide with amazement at what just happened. "CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW?!?"27

Ally was standing in a field. There were posts which looked like giant bubble-blowing wands stuck into the ground. It all seemed vaguely familiar to her, but she couldn't place her finger on it. "NO WAY!" Ally screamed delightedly as she remembered, "NO WAY, NO WAY, NO WAY!! I'M IN A QUIDDITCH FIELD!!!"28

Her clothes were different. She wore black robes with a crest on them. The red and gold crest, matching her amulet, had a lion on it. She recognized this as the Gryffindor crest, and her heart skipped a beat. It was a fantasy come true!29

She ran around excitedly, and couldn't seem to keep her eyes on one thing at a time. She had a tough time taking it all in - how did she get here? Could this even be possible? Was it all a dream?30

Ally pinched herself very hard to make sure that it was real, and it hurt. This caused Ally to let out another squeal of pure joy. She felt like she was about to explode. She had no idea how she ended up there, but she didn't care. After all, she was in a real, honest-to-God Quidditch field!31

So, Ally did what any other overly-enthralled Harry Potter fan would do - she fainted.32

Kellie wandered the streets of the cartoon world. It really did seem like she knew this place, though she didn't know why. She was lost in an odd world - maybe a hallucination - without a clue as to where she was going. Still, she wandered, seeming to recognize certain places that she came across in her subconscious.33

She was a stranger to this world, but she fit in. After all, she found that she was a cartoon, too. She was an anonymous face on the streets of this place, hiding behind a curtain of long, very wavy brown-black hair.34

Then something caught her eye. The remaining color in her already pale face drained as she looked up at the strange house, her eyes wide with wonder.35

"Impossible. . ." Kellie breathed. This was both too awesome and strange to be real. Despite that, everything now clicked. The familiarity of the cartoon, the artist's style in which she now found herself in, the reason she knew the places and sometimes people.36

As she gazed up at FentonWorks in shock and amazement, she realized that she was now in Amity Park. And, like Ally, she could do nothing but to faint right then and there.37

Nothing was certain, but the three friends knew one thing. The amulets were magic, and they had transported them to fantastic places that they could only dream of. It was a miraculous discovery, and one that would change their lives forever.38

They weren't in Kansas - well, the attic - anymore, Toto.39

Chapter 2: It's The Best Day Ever. . . Sort of41

"In the flesh," Jack said.42

"WOW," Hope responded. "It's absolutely. . . absolutely SPIFFING to meet you, captain!! Absolutely spiffing!!"43

Jack gave hope a confused look. "Riiiight, then. Who exactly are you and how did you find the means to board my ship? Love, we're in the middle of the bloody ocean, and you pop out of nowhere at all."44

"My name's Hope. I'm not sure how I got here, though. One minute, I'm in some dusty attic, and the next, I'm on the Black Pearl!" Hope explained. "It's a very strange day. . ."45

"I've faced some pretty strange things on my voyages, Hope. Many, many adventures that show off my. . chivalry and courage." Jack grinned deviously. "Savvy?"46

"What are you saying?"47

"For a small fee, I could perhaps help you in your situation, eh?"48

"I really don't have anything. . ." Hope then brushed her hand against her amulet unthinkingly. She examined it. It certaintly did look very valuable, and the stone seemed to be real. "Except this amulet, if it's worth anything. I'm pretty sure that it is."49

Jack contemplated Hope's offer. "We have an accord."50

Hope reached for the back clasp of her amulet to take it off. She unfastened it from around her neck and went to hand it to Jack. Her voice trailed, "Here you go. . ."51

She realized that she was back in the attic. She was wearing her normal clothes, too.52

"Okay, what just happened?" she asked herself.53

Ally awoke in the hospital wing of Hogwarts. She sat up slowly. Her head hurt a little, but she didn't mind. Luckily, when she had passed out, she landed on grass.54

Silently, she crept out of bed and tip-toed out of the hospital wing. Once out in the Grand Staircase, Ally's mouth gaped open. This really was Hogwarts, and she was really seeing it. The staircases and pictures actually moved, just like in the books and movies.55

This was undoubtedly the best day of her life.56

'This is too soft to be concrete. . .' Kellie thought. All she could remember was the feel of her head smacking against the hard concrete as she fainted. Thus, her head ached and throbbed terribly. She opened her eyes slowly, painfully so, and realized that she was laying on a couch.57

"Are you okay?" a voice asked.58

"I think so. . ." Kellie replied, not looking at the voice's owner. Her fingertips ran along her temple to her jawline, and she found a gauze bandage there. Obviously, this was from passing out on concrete.59

"Good. Why were you out cold on the concrete in the first place?" the voice asked. There was a noticeable incredulous tone in his voice.60

"I fainted." Kellie muttered, embarrassed to have to admit that to a stranger.61

"Oh."62

"Why?"63

"Because some girl I don't know was laying on the sidewalk in front of my house, looking like she was dead."64

"Would that girl be me?"65

"Pretty much. So where did you get this necklace??" The owner of the voice played with the amulet, examining it.66

"In an attic. Don't try taking it - I know self-defense and can kick your butt." Kellie answered.67

The voice's owner laughed at that. "Oh, really? Don't worry, I won't take it. So where is the attic??"68

"My friend Ally's house, thank you very much!" Kellie retorted.69

"Geez. You don't have to spazz. So, you didn't find it in the Ghost Zone? This really looks like another amulet that I've seen. . ."70

"No, I didn't. Who do you think you are, drilling me like this?" Kellie looked up at the owner of the voice, and stopped her 'spazzing'. "O-o-oh my. . . Y-y-you. . . ! Yo-yo-you're. . . !"71

Danny Fenton gave her a confused look and backed away a little bit. He had a skeptical look on his face, with an expression that told Kellie that he thought she was nuts.72

"I-I am SO s-sorry. ." Kellie apologized to her favorite superhero. She felt like an idiot. "I-I just. . and you are. . and I-I. . a-and. . a-a-and. ."73

And then she once again fainted.74

Hope sat on the floor of the attic, rubbing her head. What just happened? She remembered it all - the Pearl, Jack, everything. The amulet was in her hand as proof. How did she get back? It was all very confusing.75

She stood, brushing herself off, and went over to the box containing the amulets. She put the purple amulet back in, then examined the box itself. The box was quite odd - it was an antique wooden trunk, finely detailed with beautiful carvings. There were several purple amulets like the one she had. Actually, there were several of each color, and there were many, many colors.76

"My God. ." Hope breathed, "How did Ally's family get all of these?"77

When Ally had first arrived at Hogwarts, she was sure that it was all a dream. Now, she wasn't so sure about that. Everything was so real, so vivid - it was too spectacular for a dream. The castle was just how she imagined it, just like everything else. The best part was that she was a part of it. After all, she blended in and she wore the Hogwart's uniform, didn't she?78

There was all so much to see, and Ally didn't know where to start. Still, past the excitement, in the back of her head, she felt the nagging presence of her concience. She didn't know how to get back, and her voice of reason told her that she should try to find a way. Allyson Earl would take a cue from Hermione Granger, and look for an answer in the Hogwarts Library.79

When Kellie awakened, the first words which came to her lips were, "What happened? W-was it all a dream??"80

"Do you do that a lot?" Danny asked her.81

"D-do what??" Kellie asked him, not even bothering to express any of the shock she felt.82

"Pass out."83

"No," Kellie said. "Sorry I was being a. . . jerk earlier. I shouldn't have. You helped me and everything. ."84

"It's okay." Danny shrugged. "I act like a jerk sometimes, too."85

Kellie laughed weakly. "I doubt it. . I was a total b-"86

Kellie was shocked when her mouth slurred the word "bitch". She couldn't swear here? She frowned as she remembered the show's Y7 rating, which most likely applied to her, too. She corrected herself, "I just freaked out. I'm sorry. I guess it was the shock. . . Darn, my head hurts."87

"It looked like it. Jazz said that you'd be okay."88

"Jazz was here?"89

Danny nodded. "Did you think I fixed your head like that?"90

Kellie laughed. She often did that while watching the show, so it was obvious that she'd laugh now. "No. . . My name's Kellie."91

"I guess you already know my name."92

"E-yeah."93

"Nice to meet you."94

"Nice to meet you, too." Kellie smiled a little at a thought and mused at it for a bit. She then commented, "It's weird. ."95

"What?"96

"I've never had a ghost for a friend before. Sorry - a half-ghost, half-human hybrid." She smiled just a bit wider when she corrected herself.97

"I've never had a girl who faints so much for a friend before." Danny replied.98

Kellie yawned a little. "I'm going to sleep, okay? I'll be out of your hair when I wake up. . I promise. . ."99

She didn't even listen to her new friend's answer, because within a few minutes of saying that, she was sound asleep.100

Chapter 3: Research102

"Hmmn. . ." Ally thought aloud as she scanned the shelves of the library, "What's the use of looking for a book when you don't know what the book your looking for is about?"103

She ran her fingers along the spines of the books, reading the titles as she went.104

"I wonder. . ." she muttered to herself. She raised her wand and said underneath her breath, "Accio book. . . errr. . . about magical necklaces!"105

A book came flying toward Ally, and she caught it before it hit her head. It was a small, dusty, old book with a beaten-up red cover. The faded, golden script of the title read "The Dimension Amulets".106

"The Dimension Amulets?" Ally asked herself. She sat down at a nearby table and flipped to the table of contents. There wasn't much written on them. The chapters seemed to focus on the controversy of their existance, as well as theories as to where they might be located, if they truly existed. She scanned the chapter titles for something helpful, and found a chapter which was titled "The Legend and Nature of the Amulets". It was written:107

". . . The Dimension Amulets are powerful, ancient objects capable of sending the wearer to another world, or even time. Each amulet is identical, but each one is of a different color. The color of the amulet's gem signifies which world - or dimension - the wearer will be transported to. The wearer, in their destination, would become a part of that dimension, so to speak. He or she would blend in perfectly, and take on the properties of that world.108

Though they are powerful, the amulets have one weakness. If the gem should be cracked or broken, the amulet shall cease to work until a successful repair is achieved. This means that strict care of the amulets is suggested, but not completely necessary. Despite the fact that they are delicate, a charm was put on the amulets to ensure that they would not break by everyday handling. Only rough care of the amulets will cause them to be damaged.109

To transport, the user would simply have to know the color of the world he or she would like to visit, and put the necklace on. Very simple, and very effective. To return to his or her own world, the wearer would just have to remove the amulet. It is a very straightforward process - most likely the only straightforward thing about these ancient instruments. If one from another world were to wear the necklace, he or she would be transported to wherever the amulets are being kept. The same concepts of the necklaces would then apply to him or her as well.110

The history and whereabouts of the Dimension Amulets are shrouded in mystery. It is unknown who had made these amulets, but the maker must have been a powerful wizard indeed. The facts known about the Dimension Amulets come from the stories passed down by past owners, all deceased for ages. It is said that the necklaces are kept in an elaborately carved wooden chest. The carvings are said to depict scenes of Genesis and Revelation, as written in the Bible. The defining carving on the chest is that of the Tree of Knowledge, and some scholars say that the wood of the chest itself is from the Tree of Knowledge, but that is heavily debated. Legend has it that on the inside of the chest, there is a cryptic poem explaining the history of the amulets.111

The Dimension Amulets have not been seen for centuries, and it is now doubtful that they exist. Alas, the Dimension Amulets, all together, seem to have been lost in time."112

"So how'd they end up in my attic?!" Ally wondered out loud. She was obviously taken aback by the vivid story of the amulet hanging around her neck. "Who wrote this, anyway?"113

She flipped to the cover of the book, looking for the author's name. She scanned the cover, and was full of shock at the author of the book she was holding. "Albus Dumbledore?!"114

'Oh, God. . .' Ally thought, 'I hate stealing, but this will come in handy. I need to show Hope and Kellie. Besides, I can always come back and return it.'115

She hid the book beneath her robes and unfastened the necklace from around her neck.116

"Ally?! Where did you go?!" Hope asked.117

"Hope! I went to Hogwarts and everything was so cool. . . I had to steal this from the library, but it explains everything! Look!" Ally held out the book she had taken with her.118

"You went to Hogwarts? Lucky."119

"Where'd you go?" Ally asked.120

"The Black Pearl." Hope shrugged.121

"Oh, and like you're not!" Ally exclaimed. She then shoved the book closer to Hope. "Just read."122

"Cool," Hope said, looking at the book, "A souvenir."123

Hope took the book and began reading it. "Wow," she said after a while, "Do you think that chest is really made from the wood of the Tree of Knowledge? It looks old enough."124

"I don't know - maybe. . . Where's Kellie?" Ally asked, noticing her other friend's absence.125

"She didn't come back yet. What color did she have, anyway?" Hope asked.126

"Green, I think." Ally said.127

"Should we go after her?" Hope asked.128

"Maybe. It couldn't hurt to go, can it? I mean, we know how they work now. . sort of."129

"Okay. Put the book somewhere where we can find it later."130

"Gotcha." Ally said. She put the book in the chest with the other amulets, then she grabbed two green amulets after putting the red one back. She gave one green amulet to Hope, and held the amulet over her head, ready to put it on.131

Hope took the green amulet Ally gave her and also positioned herself to put the necklace on. "Ready?"132

"Ready." Ally said.133

"One. . two. . three!"134

On the count of three, the two friends put on the green amulets simultaneously.135

Kellie woke up for the third time on the couch.136

"Feel better?" Danny asked.137

"Yeah, pretty much. Thanks." Kellie said, sitting up. "I'd better get going. My friends are waiting, probably. The problem is. . I wouldn't know how to get back."138

"What?" Danny asked, looking extremely confused.139

"Well, I'm not from around here. Actually, not even from this dimension. . ." Kellie began explaining her entire story to Danny. How they were bored and went up to the attic, then how she ended up in Amity Park and fainted when she realized where she was.140

"So you and your friends, Hope and Ally, found weird necklaces in Ally's attic?" Danny asked.141

"Yes. ." Kellie answered.142

"And you're here."143

"So it would seem."144

"Huh. . . Did you try taking the amulet off?"145

"What?"146

"Taking the amulet off. Maybe they work like Clockwork's time medallions. To go back to your own time, you take off the time medallion. Maybe it's, like, the same thing. Try it." Danny said.147

Kellie paused for a bit, lost in thought. "Maybe later. . ." she said. "I'd like to see Amity Park first."148

"Cool. Want me to go with you?"149

"No. I can take care of myself."150

"Alright, then." Danny replied, sounding more than a little skeptical at that.151

Kellie rolled her eyes and got up to leave. "Bye, Danny."152

"See ya." Danny waved.153

Kellie paused, her hand on the doorknob. "Thanks."154

"Welcome." Danny replied.155

"Bye." she repeated. She turned the doorknob and left.156

"What the heck. . . ?" Hope examined her hands and the world around her. Everything was a cartoon, even Ally.157

"Cool!!" Ally exclaimed. "I'm a cartoon! You're a cartoon! We're IN a cartoon!!"158

"But what cartoon are we in?" Hope asked.159

Hope and Ally heard a booming howl coming from behind them. They turned slowly to see the source of the noise, and saw a gigantic ghost wolf chasing a familiar-looking girl with long, wavy, dark brown hair. She had a bandage on the left side of her forehead.160

"I think I have an idea of what cartoon we're in now. ." Hope muttered, her eyes wide with shock and fear at the closeness of the wolf. Surely, it would notice them soon enough as well.161

"Hope?! Ally?!" the girl called out in a familiar voice. She screamed and dodged as the ghost wolf took a snap at her.162

"Kellie!! What the heck's going on?!" Ally screamed.163

"What's it look like?!" Kellie yelled, dodging another bite from the wolf.164

Then Hope's fear was realized as the ghost wolf turned its attention to them.165

"RUN!!" Kellie shrieked.166

Hope and Ally remained frozen in their tracks, staring at the wolf.167

"Move!" Kellie shouted at them. She ran over to them and pushed them.168

"Oh! Right!" Hope responded. "RUN!"169

The three friends ran off down the street, the wolf in pursuit. They quickly veered off of the main road and down an alley.170

Panting, Ally asked, "Did we loose it?"171

"I. . dunno. ." Kellie replied between gasps.172

The wolf passed the alley, sniffing. Ally, Hope, and Kellie automatically became instantly quiet and backed up against the brick wall of the alley. It was much too small for the wolf to fit in, but it could fit its head between the walls easily enough to take a few bites out of them. When it caught their scent, it turned toward them and let out a deep growl, then lunged to attack.173

The trio backed further into the alley, not sure if they were going to die then and there. Suddenly, a green blast of energy hit the wolf and the ghost animal backed off. Instead, it lunged at the source of the blast. The wolf was hit with another blast soon after, but this was an ice blast. The wolf was frozen in the ice, and they were safe.174

"Oh no, not him. . ." Kellie murmured.175

"Oh no, not who?" Hope asked.176

"I thought you said that you can take care of yourself!" a slightly mocking voice called out.177

Kellie grimaced as Danny flew into the alley, but Allyson and Hope looked pleasantly suprised.178

"Danny Phantom?!" Ally shouted in surprised.179

"It's absolutely spiffing to meet you!!" Hope said.180

"Yeah. . Spiffing. . Uh, who are you two, anyway?" Danny asked, raising an eyebrow.181

"I'm Hope and this is Ally." Hope answered.182

"Oh, yeah. Kellie mentioned you two."183

"Kellie, you were talking to a superhero this entire time?" Ally inquired.184

Kellie nodded. "Most of it."185

"She passed out in front of my house." Danny snickered.186

"NICE." Hope laughed.187

Kellie shot a small glare at Hope.188

"So," Ally said, "We're in Amity Park?"189

"Yes." Kellie answered.190

"Awesome!"191

"You mean SPIFFING!" Hope corrected.192

"Hope, we're not at Hogwarts. If we were, THEN it would be 'spiffing'!" Ally retorted.193

"I like saying 'spiffing'!" Hope shot back.194

"You can wait to say 'spiffing'!" Ally answered.195

"Guys. ." Kellie started.196

"But it's my THING!" Hope told Ally.197

"Guuyss. ." Kellie whined.198

"I don't care! You tell me to stop doing Mission Impossible rolls all of the time, but that's MY thing!" Ally argued.199

"No, it's stupid!" Hope shouted.200

"Stupid THIS!" Ally yelled as she dropped to the ground and started doing Mission Impossible rolls.201

"Guuyyyyssss. . ." Kellie repeated.202

"Spiffing! Spiffing, spiffing, spiffing!" Hope yelled.203

Ally started humming the Mission Impossible theme in addition to her rolling around on the ground. She even made a mock gun with her fingers, to the severe annoyance of Hope and to the severe confusion on Danny's part.204

"GUYS!" Kellie screamed.205

Everyone was quiet for a while.206

"What?" Hope and Ally asked simultaneously.207

"Shut! Up!" Kellie shouted, pronouncing each syllable slowly and clearly.208

"Fine." Hope said.209

Ally stood up and said, "For the love of Fredrick the Great of Prussia!! Hope started it!"210

Hope paused, then nodded and said, "That's true."211

"I don't care who started it!" Kellie said.212

Danny just looked at them all like they were psychos, which - for the most part - was pretty true. "I'm. . scared."213

"You should be." Kellie sighed.214

Ally and Hope merely stared at Danny.215

"You'd be insane if you weren't." Allyson said.216

"I'm still questioning my sanity, really." Kellie said. "Maybe this is all some weird concussion-induced dream. Maybe I'm really at Ally's house and both of you are laughing at the fact that I managed to get hit in the head with something. Or maybe I have Schitzophrenia and this is all a hallucination. Or maybe I inhaled some weirdo fumes and I accidentally went on some kind of pyschedelic druggie trip! Or maybe. . "217

"Okay!" Hope interuppted. "Enough explanations!"218

"I'm sooo confused. . ." Kellie moaned.219

"Yeah." Danny said. "We can tell."220

-x-221

I'm going to finish this chapter soon. It's still a work in progress - I just need a creativity break. ^^;

Author notes

Well, the concept is that each amulet takes the wearer to a different dimension. All you have to do to return to your world is take off the amulet. Green takes you to Amity Park, purple takes you to somewhere in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, and red takes you to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There are more colors of amulets and places, so you'll be seeing that if I decide to write more. There are multiple amulets of one color, too. (More than one purple, more than one black, etc.) You become part of the world you're visiting, in a sense. Like how Kellie became a cartoon, Hope ended up in period clothing, and Ally became a Gryffindor student.

I wrote this to torture you, Hope and Ally! YES, YOU!!! >=D

So, should I keep going???

**NOTE: I follow canon. This means that if it's happened in the TV show/movie/book, it stays that way. I like it, it's meant to be that way, and I won't change it. Okay? Okay.
