I sat on the bench and strapped on my gloves. Taking a deep breath I stood up, feeling the support of the thick boots. I was ready. Physicaly any way. If I was mentaly intune with what I was about to do I probly wouldn't be standing there. It was pure antisipation that held a grin on my face and my hands steady.1
As I walked through the tight corridors I could smell the harsh scent of tires and top fuel. My nose recoiled until I got used to the bitter waft. Swallowing the knot that just developed in my throut.2
It started growing louder as I proceded towards the bays. The previously low hum now grew slowly to a deafening roar. A pair of drag cars were now leaving the track.
