Zippy

Once upon a time, in a land far away there was a little boy named  Zippy. He didn't have any friends to play with because he had just moved to a new town called Ladyville. In order to get to his house you had to climb up a hill. His house was really small. Just enough room for him and his mom Tiffy. 2

One day Zippy went for a walk in the woods to go and find some berries. He got so excited that he picked a whole basket full. He was really anxious to get back home and show Tiffy, But he had a problem.3

"Oh no!" He said. I think I'm lost. So he started to cry. He said "please someone help me I really want to get back home to my mom". It was starting to get late and he knew mom made lunch around 2:30 on the weekends. "My mom must be worried" he said. It was already 1:45. Normally zippy would help his mom set the table.4

"Oh god, please help me find my way home" Zippy said. Just then he heard ruffling in the bushes over his head. "Who's there" he said, "I really need your help. I'm new to the area, I just wanted to pick some berries  so my mom could bake me a pie".5

Just then things got very quiet. Then all he knew was something was climbing out from the tree. It was another little boy that he'd never met before. "Hello" the boy said, " my name is Timmy I live around here. What's the matter with you? You look really sad are you lost?"6

"Yes, I am" Zippy said, "and I know my mother's worried about me. Could you please help me find my way home?"7

"Of course" Timmy said. "There's just one thing you must do for me."8

"Anything" Zippy said. 9

"You must share your pie with me and be my best friend."10

"Okay" said Zippy. 11

So Timmy said "Follow me my friend". 12

They walked for what seemed like twenty minutes. Zippy was no longer worried though he couldn't wait to get back and introduce his mom to his new best friend. Then finally they reached a path. The sun was shining very brightly. It hasn't been as pretty ever since.13

Wow! Zippy said. " I really was excited how could I have missed this. 14

"I don't know" Timmy said. "Is that your house on top of that hill?" 15

"Yes" Zippy said "Last one there's a rotten egg"16

So they ran the entire way. Up that hill they went. Zippy introduced his mom to his new friend. She baked them a pie and fed them lunch. But then Timmy had something to say. "Hey best friend" he said. "You never told me your name".17
