Beautiful Moon Song chapter 5

Star opens her eyes to find Mizuki gone. She sits up and looks around then she sees her out in the snow. She then goes ove towards her and asks "What are you doing out here?" Mizuki looks at Star with a far off look. "Mizuki? Are you alright?" Mizuki stares ahead of her but doesn't say a word. Star leans against Mizuki and listens to her. "Star, someone is coming" Star looks up at her startled and looks out. "I don't see anything." "Star, go back inside, if you sense trouble then get everyone out of here do you understand me." "Yes, but please be careful." 1

Mizuki nods and Star slowly walks inside the trees she lays down but stays awake. Then before long she hears voices both male. She then gets up and sits in between the trees but still out of sight. "May I help you?" "Yes, we're looking for Star." "Because?" "We just need to talk to her please." "Fine, Star you may come out." Star walks slowly out and Mizuki walks back in but before she does she whisper "It's your choice what you do is up to you." She then walks inside. She then lays down and dozes off. She then opens her eyes. She blinks and looks around to find everyone gone. Mizuki looks around then gets up and goes outside to find everyone feeding. 2

Star looks up and says "Good morning Mizuki." The two males look up and back away from the food to allow room for Mizuki. She shakes her head and says "eat." They slwly went back to eating but watch Mizuki curiously. "Are you okay Mizuki?" "Yes" She says softly. Star walks over to her but Mizuki curls up tighter. "Come on there's something wrong." Mizuki says nothing. Star takes the hint and walks off back to the half eaten elk. "Is she okay?" One of the new wolves asks. "I'm not sure. She won't tell me. I love her to death but I need to know what's wrong." "Maybe she thinks that you're going to leave and she doesn't want to watch you go." Star blins and looks at Mizuki who is still curled up in a ball facing the trees. "I'm not leaving her though. She needs me just as much as I need her for now at least. Though you never can tell with how we act. We really do need each other through this troubled time."3

Star slowly goes back to eating. The two wolves look at each other and then walk over to Mizuki and lay on their stomaches with their ears back and they start nuzzling her slowly. Mizuki looks at both of them and they look at her. "We would like to ask you if we may join your pack." Mizuki blinks and then looks at Star who just looks at her. Mizuki looks back at the two new wolves. "What are your names?" "I'm Kaiyou and this is Shadow." Mizuki looks at both of them. The one named Kaiyouwas tall, his coat a light grey. He has brown eyes and loos like a hunter. Shadow was tall, but his coat was black, he has blue eyes that look like they'd peirce the soul. Mizuki nods and says "We'll see how well you work with the pack. I will judge you. 4

They both nod and she gets up and walks ovr to the meat and starts eating it. Kaiyou and Shadow walk over to the elk and they wait for everyone to finish eating. Kallie and Sara get done and run out and play. Akira finished and went to watch them play their game. Star finished eating and walks over to Kallie and Sara and start playing with them. Mizuki keeps eating and Kaiyou and Shadow come to eat beside her. Once everyone is finished Mizuki takes charge and they once again start heading towards a new den.
