As the night went on about 12:oo am the machines started going crazy Rachel's mother ran out to find a nurse. They went running back to the room she pages the doctor. They brought in the crash cart then began to shock her after about fifteen minutes of shocking her, her heart began to beat again. Rachel's mom was so scared thinking she was going to lose her daughter she left the room and went down to the chapel. She sat on the pue and began to cry and pray as the priest walks in and asks her if she was ok. She began to explain to the priest, The priest asks her if she would like to pray together back at her daughters room. She said yes, so they walked back to the room. When they got there the doctors were in there again shocking her daughter, she asks what was going on the doctor asks told her that her heart stopped again. 2

She grabbed the priest hand and they began to pray. Rachel's heart started pumping again after thirty minutes this time. The doctor explained to Rachel's mom that if this kept up she probably won't make it. Rachel's mom feel to her knees crying. Please don't let my baby die do what ever it takes to help her. Everyone left the room and Rachel's mom sitting in the chair next to her crying herself to sleep. At 7:00n am the nurse came in to check on her. Rachel's mom woke asking what time it was the nurse told her she says I have to get ready for court Will you please cal me on this number if there are any changes in her condition. 3

So she went to her and showered and got ready for court. When she got to the court house and sat down in the bench they had and they brought Vanessa in she looked over at Rachel's mom and smiled the biggest smile she could give. Then Vanessa sat down facing the judge. Then the judge came walking in. They began Vanessa's lawyer began with his opening statement telling the court that Vanessa was mentally ill ever since her dad had passed away, as her lawyer was talking Rachel's mom cell phone began to vibrate she got up quietly and left the room the officer on the case followed her out. She had answered the call when the doctor told her she had to get her that he was sorry but Rachel's heart had stoped they did everything they could. She began to cry. As she hung up the phone she told the officer what had happened and she needed to go. He told her he was very sorry and he would let the da know what had happen and he found her to let her know the judges decision.4

So she left and the officer went back in and whispered to the da that she had died. Five minutes ago, As Vanessa's lawyer finished up ans it was the da's turn to speak he stood up and told the judge that the charges had changed. The judge asked what do you mean we are know charging her with murder because the girl died five minutes ago. Vanessa's lawyer stood up what do you mean murder she is mentally ill. The judge said ok the smile on Vanessa's face suddenly disappeared. As she turned her head towards her mom. Her moms head bowed to the floor and crying. The da still telling his part to the judge. When he was finished he sat back down the judge said they were going to take a short recess so she can make her decision. Being in recess for only five minutes she calls everyone back into the court room.5

The judge asks Vanessa to please stand. As she stood up the judge says that after careful deliberation she was sentencing her to juvenile hall till your 18 th birthday then after that you will be sentenced to Twenty years of jail time in the prison for woman. Do you understand this she said yes your honor. The judge then said court is adjourned Vanessa looked at her mom and her mom was shaking her head. The officer left the court room and headed to the hospital since that is where Rachel's mom said she would be. He asked the doctor where rachel's mom was he told her she went to the chapel after saying good bye to her daughter. so the officer went to the chaple saw her sitting there crying her eyes so blood shot. From all the tears and not getting enough sleep.6

The officer sat down next to her. She looked up and she said court is all ready out? He said yeah the judge sentenced her to juvenile hall till her 18th birthday then she will go to prison for twenty years. All she said was well thats good punishment but it won't bring my Rachel back. The officer gave her his condolences and left. She sat there for about three hours then went home to make all the arrangements for the funeral. And called all of the family to let them know. She tried to fall asleep for awhile but she just couldn't sleep after losing the only daughter she had. There was a knock on the door from friends and neighbors coming to give her their support. When the officer walked up and gave her a container she asked him what it was he told her it was money from everyone down at the station to help you with barrel costs. She told him thank you and before he had left he said by the way this morning Vanessa was found dead in her cell. Seems she found a way to kill herself. She told him that she didn't feel sorry for her. But it still doesn't bring back her daughter. The officer said good bye and left. And she shut the door after everyone left she took the gun from the drawer that they had for safety and shot herself in the head. Before that she wrote a note saying with out her daughter she had no reason to go on so she was taking her life. And she said bye and pulled the trigger.7
