There was a young man in a small town in New Mexico who had a special power. He was given the power to see the future of a person. So every time he walked the streets he would stare into people’s eyes and just continued to walk by them, even though just from that slight moment of eye contact, he knew what that person’s future held. Every time he looked in the mirror he saw nothing, not even his own reflection. He often wondered if there was something wrong with him; he couldn’t see himself and no one ever paid attention to him. He took a picture of himself and stared into his eyes, but still he saw nothing, not even a slight vision. His mind was blank. Dwelling so much on the future, he realized that the past holds most of the answers. And his past was nothing but a blank page, because he spent most of his life seeing other people’s endings. Too bad it was only the future he could see; maybe he could’ve understood himself more and possibly seen a piece of himself in the mirror.1

Clever story, told briefly which is very, very difficult to do. And, they say that those who don't learn from history are cursed to relive it. So, the past can't be totally avoided. It can't be changed but it can certainly teach. Also, seems like the first word in the third line should be "continue" rather than "continued" since you changed from "walked" to "would stare." Nice. Paul

I like the idea of this and I agree that sometimes it's necessary to look back rather than forwards to fully understand ourselves and see where we are going. I think the character that you have created here could be expanded on, and I would enjoy reading more about them in a future story, when there would be no limit on the length of the story.
