It was the end of days, and the vampires found they had ascended to heaven and now stood before the one true God. He looked at them with kindness and they were confused.
"Why do you look kindly upon us?" they cried. "We are creatures of darkness and evil, and belong in Hell. You you rescued us and brought us here, and we know we do not deserve it."
God shone with radiance and the light of Heaven did not burn these creatures of darkness. God smiled at them. "Have you truthfully forgotten your origins? You are not creatures of evil. You are my most beautiful creations, and here, in Heaven, you will no longer need to hide from the light."
"How can we be beautiful to you?" one vampire persisted. "We are monstrous. We are murderers. We are a disease upon mankind."
God still smiled. "Diseases have had their purpose, my child, just as you have yours. You all have fulfilled your purpose wonderfully, and so I bring you to Heaven to enjoy eternity here as your reward."
"Our purpose?" another vampire asked timidly. "What was our purpose?"
"Simple," God replied as he led the vampires through the gates into paradise. "I created you vampires, who brought death to so many, for one singular purpose - a little thing I like to call . . ."
"Yes?" pressed the vampires, impatient now.
"Population control."

The ending was kind of funny, don't know if you meant it to be but I burst out laughing (Just ignore me and my sick sense of humor)

Thanks!
It was meant to be funny, but you must be one of those rare people who actually shares my sense of humor. Thanks for commenting

Good story
I think you could make this into more of a story if you wanted to. Nice ending I think except that means God created other things too for population control. Hmm something to think about.

Vampires are pretty cool. I think i might write a little something with a vampire in it now that you mention it.
