Our Story

Mike was a 42 year old man that had just started as a Production Manager . He was single or terminally single as he had grown to refer his status due to his history of bad relshionships.1

Angel was a single mother of 2 boys. They were 18 and 17. She was a Customer Service Represtative where Mike bought his product from.2

This is where our story begins. Mike would call Angel to order product for his company and Angel was the voice on the other end of the phone. It was all harmless at first but the orders carried into longer and longer conversations about music, life, what they each did that weekend. It grew into exchanging emails and chatting more and more about each other and what they like to do. 3

One day Mike mailed a bootleg cd of a concert that Angel had gone to. Soon after that Mike emailed his cell phone number to Angel. He was nervous that maybe he may have went to far by doing that but seconds later Angel sent him a text message that said now you have my number too. That night they must have sent each other 50 text messages each. The next day Mike came to work and opened his email and there was the most beautiful smile he had ever seen looking back at him from the screen. He immeaditly took a picture of himself and emailed it to her. He was so afraid that she would not find him attractive. She was so beautiful and Mike knew he was begining to fall for her already and they had never met. They liked the same music, loved the outdoors, and looked forward to the text messages and emails. Also they both loved the Boston Red Sox. Eight O'Clock in the morning came and went and Mike did not receive a reply from Angel. He now figured that she did not find him attractive. He was worried. A little after ten o clock in the morning he got an email that said hello handsome sorry i was late today had a doctors appointment this morning. He was excited that she thought he was good looking. That night they exchanged several pictures via their cell phones. They talked on the phone for almost 2 hours that night. Every night after that they talked for hours about their families, their lives, past relshionships and everything they could think of just to stay on the phone.
Angel was planning a trip to Buffalo to see her friend Doris in six weeks. They made plans to meet on Friday night when she came to town. The more they talked both decided that Angel would come to Buffalo on Thursday so they could spend more time together before she went to stay with Doris. For six weeks they talked about finally meeting and how nice it would be to finally meet. Their talks got more and more intimate as both got very anxious for the day to come. Angel left Mike a voicemail where she sang Soulshine to him. What a beautiful voice. Mike must have listened to that message 10 times the first day she left it. He listened to that every morning and then transfered that message to his iPod so he would have it forever.4
