To Ten People

This isn't a story. This is about ten people that I'm glad that I have in my life. These ten people are not immediate family members. In fact, all except one are not family. The rule of this is that I don't say the names I just act like I'm talking to them or something...one of my friends did this so I thought I'd try it too.

Person #1: What do I say about you?! There's so much! You're like a sister to me. You and I have both done some stupid things and had stupid things happen to us, and, yet, we're still there for eachother. Whenever I need you, you're there/ You're one of the people I can always count on to be there. You love softball as much as I love basketball, and you totally get why I have to play when I get really upset. You don't brush off what I say and how I feel, or just tell me to "look at the brightside of things." You actually care about me and what's going on in my life. You understand why sometimes I write poetry because things are hard to say. We always have fun when we hang out. Pizza! You get me and I know you'll always be here for me.

Person #2: You make up so many nicknames, but they're so good. I remember last year when you figured out what was going on with me you told me whenever I needed you or anything to just call or walk over. You and I we joke around with each other, but I know that you'd be there for me in a heartbeat if I ever needed you. And, yeah, so pretty much our amazingly awesome basketball play things are going to take over the world.

Person #3: Until summer I didn't reall hang out wiht you much, but over summer we became pretty close. We've talked about I don't how many things, came up with probably thousands of ideas, and had tons of fun at the U of O Women's Football Clinic. Oh man, I can't wait until...yeah, only you know what I can't wait for! You're brilliant and one of the strongest people I know. I loooove you! Go Ducks!

Person #4: First thing that comes to mind when I think of you is poetry. Your poetry is amazing. You truly have a way with words. You've been through a lot of shit in your life and yet you're still able to let people in. You always known when I'm just faking a smile. You know when I'm trying to hold tears back because I'm trying to be strong. One thing I will say to you though is you don't deserve to be treated like crap by that one friend.

Person #5: You're pretty darn amazing at basketball. We've talked a lot since school started and I think you're a total sweetheart. Whenever you need to talk I'm here.

Person #6: Holy crap! So much to say about you...you're so diverse! You're funny, smart, quiet and loud, and an absolute sweetheart. You were always there last year when I'd breakdown or get overwhelmed. You truly have a way with words.

Person #7: Where do I begin with you? You're there for me. You push me on and off the basketball court. You give me confidence to shoot sometimes. You're just so amazing in so many ways that it's hard to say everything.

Person #8: You're amazing! End of story. Oh, wait, I think that list is going to grow to thirty. There. Now, end of story.

Person #9: You've done some not so great stuff, but I understand why. And, I know you understand why I do certain things. I'm not afraid to talk to you, or tell you how I really feel because you understand. You love helping others and that's why you're in medical school. Plus, that's one of the reason why you're so amazing. You and try and make it to games of mine that you know about, but I completely understand why it's hard. You're one of the people who understand me and know me the best. You also just happen to be one of my heroes.

Person #10: You understand and you give advice. Even though it takes a while sometimes you make me understand things better. You give me confidence in basketball. When you don't quite understand something I say or do you ask questions until you do understand. You aren't afraid to say what you think, and you're pretty honest. You're a good listener, and you're there when I need to talk. You're one of the few people who have finally convinced me that not everyone leaves.

Author notes

This isn't really a story...it isn't really anything. It's just something one of my friends told me about, so I thought I'd do it and post it on here.
