Surely the Kanji Affair of 2012 was buried away long ago into the dusty history books. Surely it could not be remembered, even by one small person...Surely, Aburame Shino was safe.
It seems a terrible shame that secrets, however, are never truly forgotten. No matter how many decaying boxes try to contain them, they shall always resurface. And perhaps death is the only recompense accepted.

The last paragraph seems to sum it up, but it doesn't seem too compelling. Maybe if you added a statement that leaves the reader wondering more of what the character intends to do? I'm not sure.
