The Ancients

THE ANCIENTS

The Ancient Wisdom, relinquished eons ago,
Resurfaces in the eager though immature seekers of
Ancient Truths

Can misty memories of morally corrupt lifestyles of long ago,
Through constant research be successfully transformed
To the current World?

The Ancients dealt with tangible tribulations daily
Many secret meetings disrupted

Dances and ceremonies from Days Gone By cause people
To despise the Ancients
This callous attitude often elicits eternal damnation

The apparition causes a metamorphosis among the
Followers of the Ancients
The renunciation of religious faith lacerates believers of Ancient Ways

  • very nicely done.
spacing might could enhanced, but the wording had impact. Kudos

  • I like it.

How often we scoff at the traditions and ceremonies of the Ancients, when we should really be looking at them without prejudice. If we did we would surly would not have created some of the messes we have today. You have good expression in this great writing.

    This was Good

I love the wording of this poem. And I love that you chose the word Ancients instead of something Like Elders. This is a magical and entrancing poem. It makes you want to read it again and again! Great wording, wonderful presence! An Author worth looking forward to!
