No name yet, just the starting idea i had.

It's quiet at last, the cars have all stoped. The birds own the skys again.

We don't know if it was an acident or terroism or even a war. But in the end it does't mater does it. It started and ended in a few seconds ware I was in a few minute the world. It was so simple yet so brillent it was a EMP bomb well in this case hundreds maybe thousands. They went off at midnight on october 25 2007. It was't bad at first because everything just stoped, cars stoped elevators shut down but then it all went to hell in a basket.

The child came running up to me "what time is it dear grandfather" the boy asked giggling.
"why it's 10:28"
"still?"
"yes still"
"but why"
"because thats the time the world ended"
"how did it end"
"everything stopped"

I watched the child run off towards the main building witch was nothing more than a large log cabin. no windows just a solide oak door and a stone chimney. This is no place for children, or for any of us. I thought to my self looking around. there were 20 or so cabins circling around the main cabin all doors faceing in. Around this ring were a ring a crushed cars stacked up 10ft tall 50 yards out. 25 yards behind that is the mine field with a few thousand mines. a chain link fence surounded this then a 6ft thick stone wall.Inside the space of the two walls were the guard towers and farm plots as well as animal pens.

We were self sefishant we had one way in and out and only the leaders knew the path. It was dangerous out side our walls, small armys roamed the empty world. It had only been 15 years since the power went out but humanity had grown fat and happy with there life and power granted to them but power but when it went out there was panic.
